AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I want to buy them... then just chuck them at people... screw paintballs.
But having 35 mags would be hella cool.... but then buying all the bodies and other stuff after these valves would be hella expensive.
The winner could turn around and sell those valves at a reasonable price and make some decent profit.
Z-man - "I would say we are not so much proud as...viscously loyal. Dissing AGD in earshot of AO is like throwing rocks at a bees nest... a big bees nest... with millions of freaking bees that have modded AI software, maneuverability upgrades and rocket launchers."
You could make some interesting projects with all those ...
You could make a claymore mine, say, take a block of aluminum and mill it so you have 8 muzzleloading barrels the valves could fit in ... make a row of seers all hooked up to one trigger, pack in 3 or 4 balls in each barrel ... a small 4oz CO2 tank for gas ...
The best thing with that many valve assemblies wouldn't be to make Automags but to come up with new uses for them all.
what would a valve assembly be worth? what's the difference?
$40 - $50 if it's a working Level 7 Classic.
The problem is that it looks as though some of the valves are missing their regulator nuts, which means they're probably also missing the regulator pistons and spring packs, at least 11 are missing power tube tips, and likely any pt spacers and orings there. Heck, 19 of the them are missing a bolt, and not one of them has a bolt spring.
Not a single one of these valves will work as they're currently depicted. There are 8 parts kits, so you could conceivably build 8 working valves from this. Anyone looking to buy this and split it up here in B/S/T in only looking at even money where the bid is at now. I'm guessing half the valves won't work, period, unless you spend more money in new replacement parts (pt tube tip, pt spacer, bolt, spring, regulator nut, spring pack, regulator piston, misc o-rings) than the working valve you build will return from your investment.
If there is enough Power Tube tips then the 22 (that I counted) with a regulator nut (considering they do have the piston and spring pack) would be great for trading in to AGD for xvalves which lets you get an xvalve for $100 cheaper. I dont think who ever buys it will have any problems getting $800-$900 just by selling everything very cheap.
/me hopes I dont get out bid although I am sure I will
The ones where you can see the on/off hole obviously don't, so that's another good point. If there aren't any on/offs than it actually wouldn't be possible to build a single working valve with everything in the auction.
best case:
on/off: $15.00
bolt spring: $3.00
= $18.00 per valve to make half the valves operable
worst case:
on/off: $15.00
parts kit: $20.00
bolt: $35.00
power tube tip: $10.00
regulator nut: $8.00
piston assembly: $15.00
spring pack: $12.00
= $115.00 per valve to make the other half operable
They're also all old valves, so it's doubtful any of them could take a Level 10 without a new reg piston, and that's hoping none of the powertubes are cracked.
If there is enough Power Tube tips then the 22 (that I counted) with a regulator nut (considering they do have the piston and spring pack) would be great for trading in to AGD for xvalves which lets you get an xvalve for $100 cheaper.
This isn't directed at you specifically, but your comment make me wonder why anyone would trade in a valve to buy an X-Valve for ~ $225, when you could actually just buy a full ULE RT and part out everything but the valve?
Last spring I bought one of FragTek's FragMags and sold everything but the X-Valve on eBay and here on AO. When everything was parted out I wound up with a tuned X-Valve plus all the Level 10 parts for < $60.

Some people have there gun setup exactly the way they want it and dont want to go threw the hassle of selling parts from a new gun, others like to build their gun from scratch. If I wanted to get one for my Zgriped mag, id much rather just by an xvalve then have to deal with parting out a new RT. Thats just me though.
