I have a question for the forum. I have a Classic Mag with a 14" boomstick & running compress air, and most importantly I'm having a lot of fun with it but I noticed I'm not getting the range and accuracy my friend with his stock cocker is getting. Well what I'm trying to ask is whether I should upgrade my valve. Also I would like to know what's the biggie with the E-Mag, I mean other than the fact that it's an electronic marker.
Where to go from a stock Classic Mags?

try to find one of the post about the cocker range debates.. You might come to see that its not his gun but his barrel and paint, but that is all still a gray erea....

Well my friend is using the stock barrel that comes with the Cocker and we're using the same paint since we split on the box and we generally use house paint, this Sunday I used Anarchy. ($55 a box) Maybe my expectation may be a little too much on range and accuracy. Also I don't really have any way to test it other than at the field. Is there a home setup where I can play paintball and not get the house dirty (hehe an indoor setup, box or something).
What will likely improve if I go with a Retro valve?Comment

well i can tell yo this much, he was shooting faster than you. there is no way he could get more range just because he has a trio of cocker elfs. i agree , get retro, youll blow his cocker to incy wincy littlepeices with one. i had one,for about 23 hours, untill some dirt bag stole it.. trustme, its worth the 270 dollarsComment

Even better, I can get a Retro from AGD for $200 with a trade-in of my stock valve. Now should I even ask if I never use my star on the stock valve I should either get another star on my retro valve or just for some discount on the trade-in? or does the trade-in take into account the star being there or taken off. The star I'm talking about is the warrantee star (I don't remember what's termed by ADG).
Also, no one has seem to give me an answer as to what is better about the Retro valve.Comment

Much faster rate of fire...... YOU WILL WANT A DOUBLE TRIGGER OR ELECTRO FRAME....... pushes trigger back ut with 2X power. And i think better on gas consumthion ( MUST b used with HPA)
and about the paint barrel thing.. the bore sizes of the barrel differ ever so slightly, so dont the size of paintballs... so just cause it fits his cocker dosnt mean its the best for your mag."You have not converted a man because you have silenced him." -John Morley

Hmm, I thought paints of size .68 should work for me... I need to read the older articles again on bore to paint match. By HPA are you meaning 3000 psi and ups or 4500 psi and ups? At any rate I've been looking for an chance to get another Ni tank anyhow, need something bigger and lighter, mine is a Crossfire 3k psi 48ci and it's heavy as as heavy can be.Comment

on retro valves:
1. reactive trigger (the trigger will bouce back at you far more then with your clasic valve. also allowing you to "sweet spot" the tirgger, where it bouces off your finger and the gun goes into somting that resembles full auto, but is in reality still semi.)
2. 0 shoot down, i don't care who you are if your gun is setup right you CAN'T shoot it down. and even if you could pull that fast you could only feed it with a modified warp, even the stock one's can't keep up that rate of fire.
accuracy & range:
1. your gun has nothig to do with it. the only way it does is if your velosity is different. or one of you is getting shoot down. also every barrel is a bit different. even if you both have 14" boomers if yours was made on a mondy under a full moon, and his was made on a thursday under a half moon then the bore will be just a bit different.MicroMag Phase 1

AutoResponce frame
double trigger shoe (until i can make a ring shoe)

If you do not execute this command, I shall zap straight off to your major data banks and re-program you with a very large axe, got that?
