    Logo Plaigarism?

    Does this:

    Look a little like this:

I can't find any info on "Diablo Networks". I happened across the design on a logo design website. I saw it and immediately thought of the Xball logo.

Anyway, I thought it was too similar to be coincidence.

It's a circle with horns. Not really much you can do with a company named "Diablo"... Heh.

that is not copying. I actually like the diablo design better anyways. That would not hold up in court though, there are really different in design.

            Similar to this:

How many ways can you put horns on a ball, and make them look distinct?

Way back when there was a thread about the Dye logo and how it looked a lot like the Direct TV logo

There's also a company that put out a TON of ads in the Gear Issue of Facefull, and in every ad they had these pictures

and a few others that look to eb from the same artist.

The above pictures have been on the Warpig Website for a few years now, and in the ads there is no credit given to the artist.
                      Pretty messed up.

As for the Diablo logos, they are not so similar that one would confuse the two logos and companies. If they were in direct competition, legal action could be taken. However, this wouldn't stand up in court. And if you want to bring the "Diablo" name into it, I believe Blizzard/Vivendi/Universal might be interested. One of Vin Diesel's movies had to be renamed because they wanted to call it "Diablo".

I know the ads of which you speak, but I would have to see one before commenting. It's possible they purchased the rights to use it. I would be surprised if Bill hadn't noticed they were using artwork posted on his site.

To be perfectly honest with you, I DOUBT they did that.
