If you like the "benchy" so much why are you modifying it? I have 2 modified
Benchmark frames and they are both junk compared to AGD's original frames! If
(YEA RIGHT) AGD's new frame has the same tolerances as it's original, it will be
the best thing on the market. You can bet on that! (JMO)

Let me remind everyone that *NO ONE* owns an AGD frame yet. People own benchys and Dyes because they are all that was out there for many a year. So thats why they mod them and have them. Get real and stop with your stupid put downs. You don't even own one to be bragging about yet either. My guess is after all your crap you never will. So shut up when someone needs some help with their frame OK?

1000 posts? I am up for any party for sure but I would already be there if not for the crash. But hey... lets do it! Any reason for a party huh?

I will have to measure it to be sure. Its a set screw though. It is tapped in tt the back and can be adjusted in or out. I believe its about 3/8 inch or so out right now. What you do is pull back the trigger just until the gun fires, adjust the screw out to that point leaving a little bit of free play behind it. And so the rest of the travel back all the way to the back of the grip is now eliminated and helps you go back forward quicker. Did I explain that OK? In other words all the distance you see that screw sticking out was once wasted travel back that has now been eliminated.

                  cphilip,
(this post was not written in anger)

I can only assume that was directed towards me. One way or another you should be a little clearer who your directing your post to. You did say "everyone", but I believe myself and MAGBOY were the only one's to make a comment on the AGD
frames. I've been disgusted with the quality of 45 frames for years, because they
HAD to be modified to get them close to the tolerances of the original. To me,
having to modify an upgrade is silly. Maybe I did jump the gun (pun intended) when I said AGD frames will be the best thing going, maybe, but I doubt it. Tom did say that the change in design would be tolerances, which is what everyone has spent so much time trying to fix on the Benchmark frame. Seems like a no brainer to me. So when FeelTheRT said "because i like benchy" my first reaction is why? I think I asked a legitimate question. Which he answered. I wasn't putting anyone down. Sorry if I offended you some how. Its not my intention. Sometimes you and I are one the same wave length sometimes not. I actually had a question or two about your mod (which I have done) but, I feel like I've just been spanked.

i do what? copy in the URL to my bar, hit enter, click back followed by forward? that does not work. if i click on the link, it opens up a new window and goes to the URL. i tried going to another site with the new window and clicked back but still nothing.

can u explain this in more detail?

Sorry luke, that wasn't ment for you. Seems the posting times might have overlaped. I think I was composing while the other ones came in. Sorry again.

Would I buy one again if I didn't already...No. Would I buy an AGD one right now? Maybe not. I might be inclined to wait for a single trigger 45 frame from AGD.

                        cphilip,

Thanks for the e mail. Gotta say I'm glad it was a miss understanding. I'm glad I gave you a chance to explain yourself, misunderstandings are too easy here. All's good.

                          Thanks Luke.

Added on edit. You know I do not understand the post times here at all. I know for a fact I responded to Magboy almost immediately after he posted and my post doesn't even show up for another hour?...I know for a fact I wasn't even on then. Only thing I can guess is it got stuck in cyber space somewhere? Can that be? Anyway if you take the out between( Luke and who was it? Feel? and some others) Put my answer right after Magboys snide question and you will then understand what I was answering too. I had no idea the other ones were there when I did so. Sorry but I am totally confused as to how this happened. Maybe I forgot to refresh after I saw his and was composing or something but still the time factor is odd. I dunno!!!

Benchmark 2x Triggervs. '96 stock cocker trigger

I thought it was just my friend's Benchy RT pro who's got the "sloppy" trigger problem. Now I realized that all of them "unmodified" Benchmark 2x trigger shared the same "design flaw".

My friend lended me his Benchy RT pro for this coming Sunday for a game. I have expressed this on other threads before but no one have ever addressed this issue to me. Last night, I was comparing the my old '96 stock cocker vs. my friend's benchy 2x. I find the Benchy is real comfortable to hold than the cocker, definately a prettier frame than my cocker, and the feel is definately nice. From the surface of looking at these 2 guns, the Benchmark appeared to have a much faster rate of fire, adding in the factors that it's got a .45 frame and and a 2x trigger. The stock cocker...well, very stock.

Then I gased both gun up, RT's got the nitro and the cocker's got the CO2. I somehow achieved a much higher rate of fire with the cocker compared to the RT. I used my middle finger to pull the stock trigger. After about 50 shots, I felt the fatigue on my trigger finger. Holding the Benchy is very comfy. However, it was real awkward for me not to pull the trigger all the way. I also tried 50 shots out of the RT as well. My trigger finger was not as fatigued, but I couldn't achieve a faster pull 'cause I'm so use to pulling the trigger all the way back. And when I do that on the Benchy, not only it was a longer pull, the gun will make a *hissssss* sound like air was leaking out or it was "dying out". So I really had to pay attention to the way I was pulling that trigger. At times, even with a short "normal" pull or tap (whichever u guys prefer to call it), I can still hear a tad of *hiss* noise, not so much or bad as pulling the trigger all the way back.

Therefore, my question is, a trigger stop or a modification must be implemented to correct this, u guys think AGD will help? Also, this Benchmark RT Pro was sent back to Pro Team who was the one that put it together. They stated,"this is how it is".

                              Is it? Should it be?

My first gut feeling after encountering this situation with the Benchmark frame & trigger was: "This can't be normal".

                              Thanks

I have noticed, once in a great while the hissing sound you have mentioned. When one of my friends get his hands on my gun and trys to shoot it, he chops like mad. Hissing and all sorts of unnatural sounds come from my gun. Its sort of scares me when it makes that sound. But lately I havent noticed it, so I guess I have mastered the trigger. And as for my old 68 classic, (sold) let anyone besides me shoot it, and it just chops like crazy, and they complain about having to push the bolt back.

My Benchy was reworked by Pro Team, and works great, no safety though, so I turn the feed off, and shoot whats left in it, then install the barrel plug. I was concerned about the sloppyness in the trigger, which there is alot of, both side to side, and forward and back, but I have come to like the trigger alot. It feels like a Lazy Boy! I like the trigger having that liquid feel to it, then I just bring it back to the break, and hold it there until I want to shoot.
