    Very interesting 'cocker build

This is Conquerer's (PBN, not sure if he is on AO) Merlin project. I'm not sure whether this has been posted here or not, but it is very interesting and is a good read. It's his work-in-progress Merlin that he is trying to make into the lightest, best looking gun possible, no expenses spared. Lots of milling, lots of custom work, and he even fits Racegun internals into a Logic vert frame. check it out.

Yeah, I saw this a while back. He is taking it to the extreme, that's for sure. Check out halfcockers.com for some other interesting cocker projects......

Scroll down and you'll notice a Logic V2 vert mag frame. Great job Ryan, you don't even make cocker frames, but your a hit with cocker fans, thats when you know it was a success.

That is a pretty interesting read. 90* frame on an automag is blasphemy though? Come on, a 90* automag frame on a cocker is blasphemy!

I have a few questions for the cocker experts:

                1. if its an ultrlight why is he using nickel parts to hang off of his front bolck?

                2. Don't the half blocks wear down the sled? Maybe Delrin instead of Al?

I think his last weight was 2.3 lbs, If I am not mistaken my last emag weighed in at 2.7 lbs. There is hella more meat on an emag to strip off and I thought someone from DC was milling down an emag. It would be pretty cool to see the two duke it out for lightest rig. I am sure mech v mech the mag would win, electro, who knows.

Why would you want to half block an autococker. It seems like paint would get in there and be messy.

Nope. It's as good as a standard bodied cocker. You can run into problems with them if the upper tube is cut too close to the feedneck (with bolt wobble leading to excessive wear or blow-back), but all of the needed measurements have been made and so long as you stay within a certain set of dimensions you should have no problems.

Check out the DIY (do-it-yourself) section of the FAQ on halfcockers.com (I'm a mod).

                      Looks great, except for...

The anno idea. The whole Japanese and Chinese writing thing is pretty played out, in my opinion. I mean, why not "Horatius at the Bridge" in Latin, or something like that? It's just a personal pet peeve of mine.

Yeah, but have you ever seen it on a gun? Or in calligraphy for that matter?

I wonder how long it'll be before someone does this to an E-Blazer

Personally, I like the whole chinese calligraphy thing. I would really like to see this when it's done. Will he actually play with it? Or is this going to turn into a show piece like maghog's guns?
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...
