AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I have seen that "porting" pattern before, I don't believe it's custom since there's a tickle in the back of my head that says it was a production barrel.

I have too, in fact I have a barrel with that style porting, although not quite as radical ... mine is a very old stock barrel for a Spyder or Hammer. That may have been where the idea came from.
Didn't BOA have a barrel called the Snake Bite that had a spiral like that? Looks more custom to me though. Very few manufacturers make/made barrels that short.
WOW that is old school and a rare find. I forget who made those, but they were production barrels. They weren't very popular, so I dont think that there are many around.
Is that maybe one of those old "adjustable porting" barrels, but without the adjustment sleeve? My memory, or rather what's left of my memory, seems to be failing me this morning. Maybe I'll stumble across it in an old APG or other such publication.

It's a "twister" barrel and it did come with a sleve that would block off the porting, thus making it a very hot shooter.
It was a production barrel and it was an unbelievable gas hog. Looks cool though.
