Old Mag bodies

Hey, i was wondering if anyone knew if i could cut of the "shroud" on a mini mag body to make it resemble a classic body. If anyone know, i would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hey, i am wondering if there are any differences in the OD of the old minimag, teflon coated emag, and normal SS mag bodies. If anyone could help i would appreciate it. thanks.

EDIT: also, can the teflon coating on the old emag bodies be sanded off?

My classic Rt body was telfon coated. I had it stipped and polished with no ill side effects.

if your looking for a regular powerfeed body i have a spare one i could trade you for the minimag body. cant remeber which side the hopper would be on. id have to look.

i dont see why you couldnt cut the front vented portion of a minimag body off. just make sure the lengths are right before cutting.

Id be happy to trade if it is a powerfeed hopper right. The thing about the minimag bodies is that in my experience, powerfeed hopper right bodies are more common in minimag bodies than "classic" bodies with no shroud. I need to have the feed hole on the left for my double barreled mag, so all one needs to do would be take off the powerfeed and have a new feed tube welded on. I have a classic with a standard feed on the right, so i would need the other body with the feed on the left.

If you are just talking about cutting the end off to make it look like a an Automag then "yes" I've done a bunch of them including my own...

Alright, its ok, i will just cut the minimag body.

And ya luke, the one i will be sending is gonna be a minimag body, but it will probably be cut before i send it (i cant mess that up too bad, can i?). I bought another standard feed classic for the right side body.
