I voted no. I would rather want something else anodized in aurora

Bawitheba wouldn't all these aurora bodies decrease the value of auroras in general?

All you skeptics out there CHILL!

There is always more than one way to skin a cat...
Planet eclipse engineers are not some sorts of metallurgical gods. Other companies do it too for other things. CRKT for example.
We create innovative, top quality knives and tools by working with the world’s leading knife designers.

If one of the other processes out there can do it for a ULE body count me in for around $200.

Hey, if this guy knows someone who can reliably do the Aurora finish I think he will have tons of people lining up.

/I have seen that cocker before, though
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

              true...

Sure there are different ways to get that type of finish. And other people who can do it.

But do you want the Aurora finish like those on the PE cockers, or would you rather end up having something like this:

DOnt forget, you would need the body done, the rail, grip frame, barrel, feedneck, ect ect.

If anyone finds a place that would do it, Im in, but it could get very expensive.

If a good anno job would run $200 or more, this HAS to be in the $300-$500 range.

I'm not saying it would, but you would have to take tolerances into account for a whole marker if its a plating process.

yea thats the problem with doing a whole gun thats why if the part is aready chrommed or nickle plated then that is great the layer of material i will apply is only 2 microns thick so no toollerance issues with it then

As much as i would love an Aurora body, i think making them would lose its appeal, i mean most people like the aurora bodies cos they're so rare, thas one of the reasons i like it so much.

If you kept it in the low numbers say 30, it'll be cool.

Am I to assume that this process can be done to both XMags AND EMags? I didn't really like the way the XMag looked, but I think I would be willining to get it done to my EMag, just to see how it turned out. And I would do the whole gun, not just the body. I would really be interested in knowing how much this would cost...

Doing it to SS knives is a totally different proccess Vs Aluminum. If you want to point at other companies that have done aluminum, take a Look at the S.O.G Knives, they do a few aluminum knice in the titanium Oxidized Plating (that's the propper name) I already tried getting ahold of SOG to find out what5 company they used to get their knives plated, but they were unable to release the information to me.
