Shoot them both and then decide. Both are high performance markers, pick the one that you can shoot the most comfortable/confident with.

I prefer the Ego. Although, the UL trigger frames are really, really nice feeling.

i agree, the DM5/6/C dont appeal all that much to me, but the UL frame is super nice.

Go shoot them. The DMC shoots a little smoother but the Ego feels faster. Now if you slap a UL frame on that DMC then it's no contest.

              Why?

Please enlighten me with your knowledge on this subject. A four character response does not help make my choice any simpler.

There is no correct answer for this. Go shoot them both. Only then will you know. I could rant on all day about how I love almost every little thing on my DM6 but if you don't like the feel of it (meaning the DMC) then my opinion was worthless.

I enjoy my DM6 because it's easy to strip down, easy to change modes, and very smooth. A UL framed DMC will be almost the same and IMO they look cooler.

I've found taking apart the Ego can be a bit of a pain. Pulling out the bolt to clean the breach is a breeze but if you have to access the QEV's or hoses then it'll take 20 or 30 minutes. I'm pretty sure all Egos don't use a microswitch to sense trigger pulls. It essentially uses a small set of eyes on the board. To me this feels very weird, when using the spring, magnet, or both. I just like the feel of switch. The Ego also has a snappier feel when shooting. It has a little more kick than a DM so that's probably why it's noticable to me.

Both Dye and PE are great companies so it has to be left up to personal choice. Both the DMC and Ego shoot paintballs so everything beyond that is preference. If all else fails, flip a coin.

well, if its between the dmc and the ego, id deffinitely say dmc, much much nicer marker.

With that said, get a dm5. the dmc looks cool, but its only an oz lighter. Ive owned both, and truth be told, i liked the dm5 a bit more, because it was easier to clean, no cracks for paint to getin, where as the plastics around the dmc body allow paint to get down inbetween the plastics and the actuall body. im anal about my markers, so it was a bit of a task to clean that out.

dmc is smoother IMO, but i like the ego better overall.

but if i was going outside of that... shocker.. lol..

                        06 Ego

I got to admit , you have to choose a marker to suit your tastes and style
of play. I never wanted a PM, DM etc because I dont like a forgrip I cant get
                        my hand around.
I have an 06 Ego and its the fastest marker I've ever shot.
I just got way too many markers so I'm selling it.
And I am a mag junkie, and I just got the Xmod on the Emag.LOL
Its not as fast as the Ego...but its fairly close...and its a mag !

But thats why I like the Ego, fast, small, light, and easy to get my fat hands around.
