dye throtle tank

i have recently bought a dye throtle tank and i noteiced the first time i gassed it up it leeked has an e one else had this problem and also if an e one knows i hear the threeds are soft on these tank how do you prevent the threeds from striping thanks

leak, call dye and get an ra number.

as for threads, just dont force them into anything they dont seem to fit into well? btw <3 my throttle, but you arent running it on a mag are you? throttles are not the best recharging tank on the market... id consider sending it back and buying a crossfire if its going on a mag, any thing else it will perform just fine.

I am about to get a borg and am deciding between keeping my throttle or selling it and getting a crossfire. Why do you say it is better with borgs?

magman007 pretty much told you all you need to know. its probably just a bad seal, send it to dye. theres not much more to it.
i don't think many of us own leaking dye throttles....
i'm not really trying to be a jerk....so i give you this --->

Actually just talked to our proshop owner about this same topic.

The new throttles come with a stainless steel insert for the threads.

As for the old ones stripping, yeah, it was a problem.

Just lube the threads with a little grease every now and then and there shouldn't be a problem.

Also...wheres it leaking from?

Crossfire is simply a better tank.

You could solve the stripping problem by gettong a nice on/off like a CP. Just be careful not to cross thread it when you are screwing the tank in.

His tank leaks from the gauge. From what I remember somebody checked and resealed the gauge and it still leaked.
