How to get the Alignment Pin out of an Xvalve

I have everything else out of my xvalve, except I cant get the little meatal nub for the z-slot out of the valve.

If i leave it in, won't it just get dissolved? Problem solved?

steel wont really disolve in an anno bath, it just prevents the electrical current going through that part. it will probabally blem.

Once the anno is stripped I'll probably just cover that part with ruber cement or wax.
