    mirrored lenses

so its about time i replace my profiler lenses. i usually use smoke or clear but i noticed recently that there are blue mirrored and gold mirrored lenses (might as well "bling" myself out ). does anybody have any pics of these on actual masks or better yet, in actual play? can't really see much from the pics in the online shops (i can only buy from online shops... no local shops around here )

I don't have any pictures to offer but I can give you my thoughts on mirrored lenses. My brother uses them on his JT Spectra mask. He loves the way they look , I like that he wears them. When he is hiding in the woods on a sunny day the reflective mask shines brightly and catches your eye quickly making him and easier target to pick out. On multiple occasions the smallest movement has given him away and helped keep me in the game longer. If you play any form of xball, hyperball or airball, I doubt this would be a problem, but if you play in the woods just give it a thought.

I have gold mirrored lenses on my V-force. I love them. They block out the sun's rays.
I would only use them on out door fields.

How long have you had them? I know the proto mirrored lenses suck because the tint stuff comes off...i believe they discontinued them because of this.I was just wondering if the Vforce mirrored lenses did this

Because generally airball is open and in the direct sunlight, where mirrored or tinted lenses would be helpful...that and your not goin for the whole blending in camo look some like for the woods.

X ball is a type of play, where you play in 40 min matches, each game is worth 1 point, and whoever wins the most points wins the match (obviously, thats a very simple/incomplete explanation, but, more or less)

"speedball" is a more general term, typically referring to airball (paintball played on fields with inflatable bunkers) or hyperball (corregated pipes and whatnot)

                - oh, and as a sidenote JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE PLAYING ON A FIELD WITH AN "X" IN THE MIDDLE, DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE PLAYING X-BALL. X ball is a playing format, not just a field layout.

I've had them for over a year (I know, I should have replaced them by now)
They are still in pretty good conidtion.

I always liked using mirrored lenses, but I didn't like seeing the outline of past paintballs. After a few hits to the lenses I found myself annoyed. I dropped the mirrored lenses and just went smoked.

I have the blue mirror lense in my profiler. Works great for sunny days, but for indoor you want to use a clear, or yellow for dark surroundings.
A mirror lense looks cool, but they scratch easily so you should take care handling them. I always keep my mask in its goggle bag, and place that into a plastic bag so no dirt from my playing gear can get near. If you treat them well, they will last one year (unless you get bunkered in the lense that is)

Here's your action picture of myself playing in a mirror lense. Personally it makes you look a lot better on the field and is the best way to keep the sun out of your eyes on a bright day. If you get them be sure to take good care of them and use a microfiber cloth or 100% soft cotton cloth to clean them and on the inside DO NOT use water but instead LIGHTLY wipe the inside because if you rub too hard it gets rid of the anti-fog layer. Honestly it might hold up alright but to be cautious I am careful about it because it is a 30 dollar lense...

wow, that looks pretty cool. is that the gold or blue mirrored? i just placed an order for a set of blue mirrored as well as a set of standard clear ones for regular use. i guess i'll use the mirrored ones for "special occasions" or "photo ops". hahahaha i'm such a vain tart

Mine is regular mirror, and yeah I don't use in it practice normally but mostly in tournaments. Don't worry, half of paintball is dressing up in all that expensive gear and looking the way you want on the field.
