How much voltage can a halo handle?

anyone know what kind of voltage the halo can handle? see i have an emag foregrip on my devilmag, and a spare emag battery. so i figure i can hook up a few wires and run the halo off of my emag battery. the only problem is i dont know if the halo can handle 16 volts. Thanks AO -mr.mag

It cant. Get a voltage regulator and take it down to 9 or so.

Digikey maybe? Im not remotely educated in electronics, so you might want to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion

An emag battery gives a voltage of 18 volts if i'm not mistaken. A halo board needs about 9 volts max. to work. You could go as far as giving it 12 volts, but some boards (cheeta boards) can malfunction on those high voltages. My halo has a V35 victory board and i'm using a 8.4v/700mAh battery pack. Works fine even when the cells give off 11 volts peak voltage fully charged.

Cheetah board works up to 35V. So with this board you should be fine.

                Tag

yeah TAG retracted theyre previous claim, because a ton of boards fried, yeah the boards start acting dumb, i would know, i think i freid mine, stuoid TAG, good for nothing, anyways, "shedes" here on AO, did a wiring set up for me , with a heat sink, the harness powers both my halo and warp. easilly.
