SM-1 vs. SM-3

Has anyone had the opportunity to own/use both the SM-1 and SM-3 barrels? What are the differences between these two barrels other than the obvious cosmetic differences (eg. performance etc...).

You keep saying that in all these posts, I have found a large difference between a big bore sloppy barrel, and one that is matched to paint.


As far as the SM-1 or Sm-3 - same manufacturuer, similar perfromance, different look - thats about it. The Sm-1 ia 3 pieces ( the shroud for the barrel comes off ) The Sm-3 is 2 pieces.

I think the Sm-3 came about becasue after SP sued them for the window in their barrels, there was no point in having the shroud for the barrel anymore.
