What do want in a paintball pistol?

The Punisher

The sidearm you all want is the Punisher. The this is a horse. I dropped it out of a second story building at a game a few weeks back onto concrete. Yeah, there was cosmetic damage but I know it still worked.

Some guy on the other team picked it up and poped a few rounds at me!

Plus, the clip slides onto it via rails, not like the Enforcers push and twist clip.

While a clip like loading device sounds cool it just won't be feasible right now. The only markers that use a clip are those made by ...ATS is the company I think. They go full auto and are mostly used for military/law enforcement training and crowd control.

The clips hold 25 rounds and use a belt system to pull the paintball into the breach. MAx rof is 12 according to their site (http://www.adtacsys.com/) which is 720 rpm (720/60=12)

Another set back to the clip is that each on only hold 25 rounds and they cost about 69 bucks a piece!

As for a spring loading clip, that might work actually. Perhaps a tube with a nubbin in it like the automags barrel?

heres what i did once back in the day. i milled the fudge nutter out of 2 spyders. (with a dremel) : Then i made a thingy so the air hose would go along the side of the gun into the grips and out of the bottom of the grip frame. Then i Made some chode barrels that were 5 inches long, no porting Then i cut off the feeds, and put on a pvc pipe that stuck a bout 10 inches off of the back of the spyder and spring loaded it to feed the balls. I had to make a powerfeed style cap out of plastic, took friggen forever to do it twice. So i made two of these guns, i dentical. So basically i had 50 rounds in total to fire. This was about the most mobile setup ever. You can get so tight, and run so fast. It was basically for recball flag games where you just wana run for the flag and take running pot shots at everyone you see. Twas fun and i got the flag a few times like that. one time i has a bad experience with my right gun going down and trying to shoot with my left handed gun and getting bunkered quite severly. i sold the setup to a friend for like 100 bucks but it was good times. Now i finally get to share my pistol story :-)

Maybe sydarm bodies for sale in the store? But i don't know if a regular airvalve will work in that body. Any ideas?

I've looked at the punisher on/off for like 6 months. I see the removable barrel on the PT extrem but the grip sucks, I see the nice grip on the punisher but a fixed barrel. I guess I'll wait until something cool comes out. Maybe a new grip fo the extrem? Or perhaps a competion beating design from AGD? (*HINT*)

I got a PT Enforcer for sale any takers? ok now that I've given a shout out to my sale I'm gonna have to say you guys are onto something. I'm very dissappointed w/ my Enforcer. The clip on top is acting up and feel off and broke a tiny plastic piece that kept the thing on. Anyways. Someone should keep us informed if they do anything such as this.

Dear god. Why do you care about whether there is a fixed barrel or one u can swap or the comfort of the grip? Are you guys atually playing games with these things? I use them merely as backups and only pull them if my buddy is almost done refilling.

play games with them?? hell yah. i use my pt extreme all the time as a primary when i'm low on cash. i hooked up a 4oz co2 pointing forward and i fill it once all day. it keeps me down to about 200-300 rounds all day insted of 2000-3000 with my mag. however after about 2 cases of paint the extreme is looking a bit tired. here's the list of problems:

1. 12gram changer handle snaped in half (no i didn't drop it)
2. sear is showing ware (it's starting to get bad to)
3. hammer latching surface is showing ware.
4. hammer o-ring has already chopped
5. back plug (the one the spring pushes against) is bending where the retaining pin holds it. i've had to file it down so i could get it in and out of the body.
6. spring feed inside the clip jams badly
7. ball detent sucks and the thing will tripple load if you run with it. (replace with a spyder detent it's a bit longer)
8. clip falls off the gun (now held on with zip ties)
9. inside of barrel WAS crome plated, now it's sheded and hooks to the left.
10. when i used 12grams the part that hold the back of the cartrage need's constant adjustment.

now as to clip design how about this
virtical 8 - 10 round clip in the handle. be it in the grip or as a forgrip. the spring drive can push right up to the bottem of the breach. now build a 12gram setup into each clip with some sort of on/off perhaps a one way fill nipple with a peg in the gun to push the pin in the nipple and open it. that way when ever you replace the mag in a fire fight you know you also have fresh gas. when things calm down you can put more paint from a speed tube, and a new 12 gram if it's needed.

Its only available to police officers for training and stuff.

The Sydarm has been around for many years, and use to be for sale to everybody, you might just find 1 or 2 at a pro shop somewhere. As i remember though, they were around the price of a regular mag since the valve system is the same (correct me if im wrong)

I've seen sydarms but never really had a chance to get one without paying a ridiculus amount of money. As for Hasty8 yes playing with a pistol is a heck of a good time and as pointed out earlier it saves money. I would really like to see pistol only games at local fields like there are some pump only games. With everyone toting pistols there would be lots of movement but still the semi-auto action we have come to love in speedball. Its really fun running around with two! I have'nt bought a pistol yet cause I'm holding out for things I want and I think its only a matter of time. I guess the most promising thing is whatever 32 degrees puts out to replace the PT extrem. Though I have not seen or heard anything about another PT.
