Ok, everyone shows off their uber-cool guns all the time on here, and I figured it's my turn. Although mine isn't "uber-cool", it's certainly uber-ghetto, and a butt-load of fun.
PICS:
It's an old Paintball Mania (I think) Brute pump. Nelson-based, of course. It has a one and a half inch pump length, and it's a pretty light pull (not Phantom light, but light enough to call it "good"). I call it my Anti-Phantom because I consider it my "I'm too poor" "experimental" Phantom. It runs great noetheless.nm
Things to note:
I bought this off of eBay a year or so ago for about $25 shipped. I was used to running semi at the time and thought pump would be fun... Then start the problems.
See the super AGG hose-clamp mod I did? Yeah, the front screw stripped and I didn't feel like re-tapping it. The hose clamp works very well, and adds to the swank-factor.
Also, about half of the screws aren't original. I lost them one way or another. The feed tube screws have three washers behind them (or else they dug into the bolt and barrel), and the left pump arm screws have four washers.
I recently decided I wanted to play stock, or at least pump more often, thus sparking my creative side a bit to fulfill my wants. The front grip screw slot had an nice little indent on the inside, just enough room to fit an Automag tophat screw... That is an Automag vert asa on there. I had to steady it with yet another washer, but it works. And the air line is one a bit too long that I had taken from a blowback bottomline. Believe it or not, it doesn't get in the way.
I'm not done with it. Not in the least. I have a back-check valve in the mail ($0.01 on eBay!) and want to get a CO2 spacer to be able to run a guage. I also am going to buy a CCI 12gram quick changer (right now this thing is in remote set-up). I'm also going to make a 90* feed tube for pure stock class, complete with ball-view-thingy drilling. I may replace the hose, but either way the hose will have quick release fittings on both sides, in case I want to use the stock on something else.
I also have two way out there things I want to do to it. The body is pretty thick, so that got me thinking, I would really like to use my Freak kit on this thing. I want to have the barrel cut off and tapped for 'Cocker threads. It also needs a detent, so I want an Angel threaded one on the bottom side of the gun (so it doesn't get in the way of the pump arm).
This thing is a beauty. Very steady, very accurate, very light, and VERY easy to maneuver, I am in love with it.
So, anyone know of any other mods, upgrades, or crazy things I could to to it? I would like a .45 trigger frame on it... Any suggestions?
