    Would This Be Worth It

    Hello
I mite be able to get my hands on a used automag the guy just says its missing the valve and the fieldstrip screw. I was wondering can i just order a complete valve and the fieldstrip screw Off the AGD web site? How much would this cost? Would it be worth the time and money to fix this gun? Could i install this myself? or Would i send it in to be worked on?

You could buy a used valve. Classics run around $60, RT's run around $120,and X's run around $200. Field strip screws are typically around $7. It's your call as to whether or not it's worth you repairing this marker. Could easily be assembled yourself.

the prices that were quoted above are all used prices, FYI. There is nothing wrong with buying used valves, especially through the BST forum here. The only thing I'd recommend is getting a rebuild kit from AGD or try contacting Tunaman from the forums here and ask him for what you need.

Is this an old classic w/o the valve? In other words, a standard feed or powerfeed body in grey, with a composite trigger frame , black rail, and an All American twistlock? It may or may not have a foregrip...
How much is the person asking for it?

Used classics can be had really cheap if you look around. Generally about $100-120

I think $50 is being generous.

Used non-ULE bodies can be had really cheap

Used single trigger frames can be had really cheap

New sears are not that much

            Essentially thats all your getting.

            $25

Good point, but used classic rails are pretty cheap too

I say you'd be better off putting one together from parts off the B/S/T forums here. Just make sure you get an RT valve; best upgrade I've ever put on my 'Mag.

                        The Hyperframe on/off was Terrible.
Why do you think Hyperframe users use ULT's?

why? my hyperframe on off requires less force to pull the trigger than a RT on off?

the reason why they use ULTs is because they require less force to pull than Hyperframe On Offs

the only problem with the Hyperframe On Off is pin length

                            ^^^Thanks pump

If you go the hyperframe way, get one with the 20bps board and upgrade the switch (to something like a 50 or 80g). I have a friend who had one and said he replaced the switch with a 50g, but kept the 13bps board in. The trigger pull was very nice, but I sometimes felt like I was actually shooting faster than the board. Whether or not I was actually shooting 13+, I have no idea...
