in order for me to use paypal, do i need a credit card?

nope... if you have a debt/atm card i belive it will work....

i know it works with my debit card.....

you make be able to use just a checking account but i'm not sure

Did you set up an account in Paypal? That is the first step, then if you and the seller have accounts its pretty easy.

What are you having problems with?

I am not sure about how living in Canada would impact you.

However, I don't hink that you need to have a Credit Card - a debit card, if you have one, will work just as well.

Alternatively, you can do "Instant Transfers" from your checking account, but these are "instant" only after the first time, which is used by PayPal to confirm your bank account. Also, when you do a PayPal "instant transfer", you can't get a chargeback like you could if you were the victim of fraud and used a CC.

You can also use just a checking acc. they will do that.
It just takes a extra day for the e check to clear

it says i need a credit card in order to put money into my paypal, i dont have a credit card, i DO have a debit card, and i have a SAVINGS account, not a CHECKING acount...

i guess what i am asking is, how do i get money into my paypal, so i can buy some stuff from others on here...

As I read it you need a paypal account, go to paypal.com and sign up. AS u live outside the USA they will charge u 1.95, once this appears on your card statement it will give u a 4 digit code to activate paypal. Once activated u can go shopping with paypal.

I have used paypal once and used my paypal account and password online to buy a turborev. paypal take whatever u have in your paypal account first(was 1.95 that u used to sign up) and then debited the rest from my debit card. They hold your debit/credit details.

YOU don't put money into paypal, they will take it from you when u use your paypal account.
