AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I think the bodies and lowers are two different aluminums but that is still a horrible job matching the annoes, i kind of like it though. That might just be me.
it's called "rusty emag" or something. I was talking to the one of the owner's of it via IM's the other day and I can't remember who it was or who has it now sorry.
And yes... AGD xvalves and ULE boies are 7075 series Aluminum and the rest T6-6061 aluminum. Very hard to match colors, especially blues.
almost looks like lowers were done as a matte finish and uppers were polished slightly. and the lowers didnt sit in bath lone enough, or were sealed improperly.
Styg
7075 series, never heard of that before? is it heavier, more dense, is that where the elves live?
no, i remember when this mag was just anoed, the anoer tried to match the colors but the 2 different grades would not take the color the same so that ws the best they would really do.
you also have to take into account the voltage used, the % of acid, etc. anodizing is more of an art than a science and a little variation in one variable can posiably change a lot.
