    PPS Blazer

I'm seriously considering trading my automag for one. Manily because they're very co2 friendly, and they seem to be an all around well made marker (not saying that automags aren't).

I've heard good things from most people about them, but I've also heard that they're over rated. Is this true at all?

And about maintenance. They have to be "timed" like other autocokers, correct? I've never "timed" a gun before (never owned a 'cocker) and I'm not etirely sure what timing a gun entails. Is it something that can be done easily, or would I have to get a shop to do it for me?

    Thanks.

Well, I don't know anything about timing a Blazer specifically. I was under the impression that it was easier than a cocker though.

I have lots of cockers, and once you get familiar with how to time them it really shouldn't be that difficult.

    This should help:

    Oh, and this:

At one time I owned both a RT Pro and a Blazer at the same time. I liked the RT Pro better, but my buddy liked the Blazer better, it's all preference. One things for sure the Blazers not overrated, and I recommend the single trigger, it's quite nice.

If I remember correctly the blazer's timing is set from the factory and really doesn't need to be adjusted much if at all. Weeelllll. Thats all I know. Good night.

from my experance with palmers you dont need to tune anything from them u just adjsut the normaly things that get adjsuted. basicaly from what i have heard and understand of the workings of a blazer (never owned one but i have owned cockers) a blazer is a cocker that has had the pneumatics moved to places that are more logical and are safer for the pieces.

timing a gun is not difficult. im a long time cocker user, its kinda hard the first time, but by the third its super easy, and takes about 5 min maximum. its worth it to have a superb shooting gun.

                          What's "suction timing"?

Also, what's the best place to find used blazers? Is there an owners group or anything?

Blazers are great. No back block and the quality of PPS is amazing (I have a Super Stocker and my buddy owns a Blazer). The guns aren't designed for CO2. CO2 is just a very workable gas that has a bad reputation. If you run a stabilizer + anti siphon tank, you'll have great results. Or you can just run HPA. When I first saw a Blazer I was shocked at how small it acually was. It was very tight.

suction timing is when u set a cockers 3 way to activate as air is still moving down the barrel so air gets sucked down teh feed neck (to test place a piece of tissue over teh neck and cycle the gun, the tissue will get sucked into the neck a decent amount, with in 2-3 shots the bolt should be able to pinch the tissue)

it is the most efficent way to set up a cocker and supposedly can help the balls load faster (maybe just a tad but not noticibly IMHO, i do think it helps efficenty though)

blazers are pretty common on stockclasspaintball.com's forums and mcarterbrowns's forums as well
