I rolled through some sunday afternoon churchgroup walkons today like an atom bomb. They all had tippman 98's - But I was using a viking.
I took no prisoners. (it was almost a waste of paint... almost  )

    /worthless post
//I had 5 14yr old girls and a dad on my team too
//they didn't let me play after 2 games
    ///I'm a jerk

What kind of markers were the walkons playing with?

The begining player were on a different field, so this was the experiance group. The gear rabged from the Ego/Timmy/ DM crowd down to e blowbacks. There might have been 1 or 2 mech cockers.

I have to admit, I have played with and against the other 4 guys for years. When we play together we already kind of know who will play front/ back/tapes. Our crosses were real good that day and anyone that tryed to run through got shot as some as the got clear of their first bunker. We loaded the 50's and then just kind of picked them off.

      Fun stuff.

If they werent beginners, and you were clearly outgunned(equipment only of course ), then why would the refs separate you. Instead, they should have made you an example by stacking the other side with even MORE players for you to shoot at. Its not like you and your team will be overshooting.

        Bah.

          Bah.

We were cool with it. 3 of us have reffed out there. We all kind of have a rep with the locals as being every bit as dangerous as any player on the field. In fact 2 of us were responsible for putting pumps in the hand of the people that brought the Old School Challenge to NorCal.

Any time a player not in the know rags on any of the pump players the are often told stuff like "You should have an easy day, I am carrying less paint than you will shoot in the first 10 seconds of the game."

They learn. Great paintball will always be about communication and motion.

Is that where you played, in NorCal?

I do, I love bringing out a slider cocker or phantom on the field every now and then.

The incidents described took place at Midway paintball in Vacaville.

I often forget that NorCal is the name of the field in petaluma. Sorry for the confusion. I used norcal to refference Northern Ca. There was an OSC event at WAP, in Zamora, just a few weeks ago.

Interestingly, Ive heard more good stories as a result of this thread than any electro thread. Good times.

I only break out the Viking when folks start to beg, or talk too much smack.

Every once in a while I even revert back to a Sterling, but I'm not really good enough to play pump in a semi/electro world.

                      Very nice.

I think the icing on the cake is the Revvy. Dont see many of those on the speedball fields these days.

I play with a revy on my Timmy

Playing pump gives me enough trigger discipline to make a halo overkill.

Yeah, I love that hopper. It's so old (pre-BE), yet it is the single piece of equipment that has never not worked when I asked it to.

It's funny how the more "advanced" things get, the less they actually "work".

Pre-BE I let mine go a few years back. I regret it.

Isnt it strange too that the more things cost, the more they break? Youd think a $130 HALO(thats what they were going for when I bought mine) would never break.
