Doober...when you go by the shop, tell him Roger in Japan says what's up. And try to find out who Jason is working for, and if there is a way to get in touch with him.
I spoke to Brad a couple of weeks ago, and he confirmed that they are closing. I assume that he may continue working on customs, because he is taking all the machines with him, but I don't know for sure. And Jason is working for another guy. According to Brad, Jason will be in charge of online sales for this guy (Brad didn't tell me who it was). It sucks they are closing. I bought just about everything I own from Paintball Maxx, and if I recall correctly, I bought the first emag the sold. They are a great bunch of guys there. I was really disappointed to hear that they were closing. They had great customer service, not like those jerk-off stores that I read about in one of the other threads.

Brad's talented, but I would not call him "great".

Is that a ditch behind me?

Man, that's really sad that they're closing. The writing was definitely on the wall when they relocated though. The first time I saw the new place I knew it was only a matter of months. I'll have to stop by & take them out to lunch.

The greatest loss of Maxx is the knowledge transfer. That was the one place you could go in Houston (when it was on Beltway 8) and there would be guys just hanging out, and you could hang out, and learn an incredible amount just from shooting the shizz.

I didn't start the thread for people to berate Brad, just trying to contact him or find out what is going on. The man does good work, but yeah, he is overworked and you will be waiting.

yeap, it's true. Paintball Maxx is closed down. Nine years and it's come to an end. I was the original owner and stayed there for 3 other owners over the years. The last couple years were rough, with the move of the shop to a smaller, but still not cheaper for some reason, shop and all. Between the crappy economy and distributors and manufactures letting the internet run the show, we just couldn't make it work out in our favor. I personally put a ton of money into a company that wasn't mine and I doubt I'll ever see a dime of it again. Shop still owes me paychecks from before SPE.

I got my stuff out right as the PHOG went down, so I couldn't say anything. Sorry guys. I have all the custom stuff with me so it's safe and sound, no worries there. I'm finishing it up as we speak. Sadly, the machines are at my dad's house almost an hour away. Today I'm working on getting a new job (Gander Mountain, in the firearm section) but tomorrow I'll be back down there, working on stuff.

If you have guns or parts with me, they are going out as I finish them. Pm me for my phone number if you need to find me fast or just email.

            Sorry guys. We tried.

Recon, I have your gun, I'll deliver it to your house this week. Dad's house in just down the road from you.

Tim, I put the bolt back in the box with your gun, but I'll get you another one this week. Email me your address again. Sorry

and mike smith, go **** yourself. Been wanting to say that for years to you. I didn't screw up your gun, you did.

I'm in no way related to any of this, but want to give props where due. This is a classy post. I wish all businessman were like this. I work for an agency in California where I deal with business owners daily. I'll interact with over a 1,000 business owners a year. I wish they all showed this much class. I'm sorry for your loss. Best of luck in the future.

That is shocking. I would go as far as saying Brad is great. He is right up with the best air smiths in the business. But just like the greats, his turn around time is very slow.

The only dealings I've had with you is the phantom conversion. It was defective from the moment I got it. It was a month late and you apparently didn't check it out before giving it to me.

I'm sorry if I bruised your almighty ego.

Well, it worked when you shot it at the shop, BEFORE you took it apart, like you told me.

And then there's the airport incident.

                              So go **** yourself.

Its depressing to hear about you getting out of custom paintball stuff, Brad. You're a great dude and ive always admired your work.
