I was thinking on buying a 68/4500 for my classic mag but I was wondering if it was overkill. I am saying this because the tank would cost more than ny mag. Also, what would be better, a PMI tank or Crossfire?

Compressed air is always a good idea imo. When it comes to HP either of those will be fine. LP crossy have a tad better recharge than LP PMI though. But that doesnt matter since you have a mag and need HP. lol -
Not overkill. If/when you ever buy a new gun you can use it on that. 68/45 is the best IMO.Comment

Yeah, don't get a cheaper hpa tank unless you never plan on upgrading, otherwise you'll be kicking yourself when you decide you want a fiberwrapped tank later.
And like was said above, it's better to upgrade your tank, and then you'll have the tank already if/when you upgrade to a newer gun. I bought my emag, and then had money problems, and then tank problems... long story short, I had my emag for almost half a year before I could play with it.
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

I love my Nitro Duck 68 4500. It's steel wrapped, so it's on the heavier side, but it's not bad. Just adds a nice heft to the gun. Plus it only needs hydro'd every five years, whereas fiber wrapped need it every 3.
Either way, HPA is always a good idea. Every gun I've ever owned (exept for my old Spyder, small valve) runs best on it.

Not true, i have a brand new fiber wrapped 72/4500 PMI tank with a hydro of 6/06 and it says right on the bottle test every 5 years.Originally posted by LennyPlus it only needs hydro'd every five years, whereas fiber wrapped need it every 3.Comment

There are exeptions to the rule. Ala, DOT-E.Originally posted by Chaos_Theory!Not true, i have a brand new fiber wrapped 72/4500 PMI tank with a hydro of 6/06 and it says right on the bottle test every 5 years.
In general, though, carbon fibers need 3 yr hydros, steel need 5. Unless a specific DOT-E states otherwise, or it abides the 2 foot rule.Autocockers are the greatest markers ever made.

Both my 45/45 Nitroduck X stream (which is fiber wrapped under the "Tuffskin") and my PMI 45/5000 are 5 year hydros.Originally posted by LennyThere are exeptions to the rule. Ala, DOT-E.
