Would you actually feel ok about it if anyone said no?
Ask the government of France for any exporting laws which apply to what you are sending. Also never assume their import/export laws will be the same or similar to ours, each country has different views and needs from their laws.

As for shipping it depends on the service and security the buyer wants. UPS rip you off crossing the Canadian border. They charge brokerage fees which end up to be about 40-50% of the value of the package ON TOP of what they charge you for shipping if you use ups standard (the more expensive options supposedly already include any of their "fees").

I have shipped paintball guns there before. Insure it so you have proof that you sent it, send it usps. Mark as a gift to save the guy from having it taxed. write item as paintball parts. NOT GUN. although they do allow guns there if it says gun it throws up red flags. Maybe take an easily removable part off of it to make it non operational upon airing it up.

If you want it to actually get there, use UPS. Yes it will be expensive, but usps surface takes forever, and once you cross a border, they are no longer responsible for your package.

I have YEARS of experience doing this, trust me, do not use USPS. Also, dont skimp on insurance. Things can magically disapear in customs of other countries.

If he paid thru Paypal you had better use FedEx.
They are the only one that will provide a tracking number internationally.
(I mean out of the big three, UPS, USPS, and FedEx)
And in a dispute Paypal requires the seller to provide a tracking number.
Probably cost you up to 75.00 depending on how much you insure it for.

I charged him $40 for shipping. Do I even have to mark it as anything? When I ship things I usually just ship them with my address and the buyers address. If it really madder I could take the bolt when and it would be non operational. Yes he did pay through paypal, I made sure he had a confirmed address. I do not think there is a fedex place anywhere around here (although it not like I look for one) are you sure UPS wont track overseas? On there site you have to choose what country you are in (makes me think they would track overseas)

you might want to also try dhl. they are usually cheaper than fedex, and ups.

like goinghome said. Make sure you get a tracking number. It will save your arse if something goes wrong

You are going to have to fill out a customs form because you are shipping internationally. Basically you write down what it is, its value, and if it was a gift or what.
