    Proto/dye Customer Service!!

    i bought a proto switch f/s mask only to see it getting fogged up every round on my first day out.So i take off the lens using the patent pending 1/4 turn removal system only to find that the entire bottem half of my lens` was not sealed so i go to the proto site, email customer service wait the 6 business days they say id get a response within and write another, again 6 days no response so i called 2x today once about 1 o clock (ny) so in cali it was 9? figuring they where just opening no answer, got a msg for customer service. so i called just now 6:00 (ny) same msg " i am currently helping another customer or unavaliable please leave a msg and i`ll get back to you" am i to beleive dye has 1 service rep? and to expect she will call me back when shes free just like they had answered my emails? i could have done with out the "severel patent pending innovations" and settled for just a good set of lens`

    any one else have similar problems with dye/proto? or is it just me

      i dont usualy defend DYE, but as said it is WC cup and im sure theyr very busy an things are hectic to say the least.

      maybe dont spend $ on dye products int he futre, i would think they would correct the problem though even fi it takes them awhile.

      btw dye mask seem comfortable but always bulky and awkward to me, and yes ive had dyes thermal and non fog up more easily than say a spectre 260

        well i caleld about 100x more and finally got thru to the lady in the msg so perhaps there really is only one CS rep she gave me a number told me to mail my lens and they will be evalutated andif they see fit they will send me new ones i still stand by my flame untill this whole process is setlled becasue they better approve my claim

          same thing happened to 2 proto lenses i bought, so i just used some super glue and glued the foam back, it seems to work fine for me

            if i ahd super glue id have done it, but i didnt so i bought overpriced lenes for 30 bucks which is almost what i paid for the mask so thats why i was mad but they said theyll ship me new len after they reveiw my old ones
            so hopefuly after its done i can turn that thumb the other way in the title

              Dude, it's World Cup week. I wouldn't even expect their offices to be open until next Tuesday. Dye has always been great to my team and me. We bring in all of our Dye/Proto markers in for a tuneup before every tourney. Turnaround time is about an hour or two. They threw in a free $200 repair kit when my coach brought his DM3 in to get serviced. Also gave my teammate a new bolt and solenoid for free.

                i think tahs the difference your going there and im across the country and only have a lens problem if i had a team of guys toting dm`s 1-7 whichever im sure id get a happy ending with my tune up

                  It's not like they treat us better because of our markers. It's just harder to deal with someone across the country DURING WORLD CUP.

                    like other people have said World Cup is going on right now. i bet if you call any company right now that is at cup you will not get to talk to a live person. they have very good customer service you just have to wait till the event is over.

                      Actually DYE has very good customer service...and i believe they don't have many people working at one time..when i had some problems with my proto (which they fixed no questions asked, free of charge.) but everytime i called i got the same people they usually only have 2 gun tcchs in, and its seems that there is only one receptionist for all the calls...but they where helpfull even though i called like 8 times wanting to know the status of my gun.

                      Like everyone else said...it is World Cup weekend so im sure they are much bussier(sp?) then usual.

                      People jump the gun too quick with this type of stuff, oh and if it is there fault then they will replace it for free im sure...and even if it isnt there fault they will still 9 times out of 10 replace it for free.


                      Out of curiosity did you buy it new or used?

                        brand new, i went to an indoor lens fogged up immediatly so i popped em out and the whole bottem half was unsealed

                          oh and btw, i said i had maield them 2x waiting the 6 day waiting period they give i dont thinkit was world cup weekend 14 days ago

                            I wouldn't even try during the entire month of November. World Cup preperation starts long before the day Cup begins. They have drivers to hire, gear to assemble, trucks to load, trucks to send to the location and lots of paperwork and money to keep track of.

                              i know i know but 14 days ago was october, i know i know im just nit picking lol i guess i was just mad because like it was the first day first game like if it was like 2nd or third time out id buy new lens toss the old ones and not give a crap. but i felt at least if i got a day or 2 out fo em w/e i should get some ambient or somthin any but i guess casue the place i roderd it from becamse such a hassle chargin my card like 2 and 3 times mesing up order took liek 2 weks to ship casue i had to clal everyday and straighten it out so it was a huge hassle just to get them, and have another hassle, but action villiage ive delt with b4 and ive liked them so i swallowed my prid on thre mistakes and just exploded on dye i suppose
