Welcome, and here is my two cents worth.

Until you get a feel for what type of marker that works for you, then just shoot every gun at the field that you can. You are a girl, so it should be no problem for you to do this. Guys are always wanting to show off their stuff. Just ask, and most guys will let you. This will give you maximum exposure to what is availible. DONT buy anything just yet. Try first.

If your boyfriend doesnt have one for you, then DO buy your own mask. I am a field owner, and I have found that girls get a bit "icky" about putting on a rental mask. Other peoples sweat and all.

Also, I have also noticed that guys constantly underestimate girls at the field. This gives you a distinct advantage. Be/act girly in the break area, be agressive on the field. They wont expect it, at least not at first. Also, you can get away with a lot on the field that a guy cant. Use the guys' ego's against them.

Play fair, play honorably. Remember, it just a game. Dont loose your cool.

Try markers and see what works for you, everyone has his own preference in guns, some like em light, some want a bit more kick when shooting, etc. Also getting your own mask is something you really want... Ever tried a rental? Those things smell and fog up all the time. When i bring a new player to the field, i carry an extra mask for him/her.
Also i must agree that girls are often underestimated on the field. What they lack in ego, they usually make up with sneakyness, (if that is a word) and viciousness. If anyone saw a all girl rental group play, they know what i am talking about.

Needless to say, don't cheat and for clothing i would advise against a chest protector. They tend to isolate your body heat. A better choice would be to wear something baggy, it vents heat better and due to its baggyness it also dampens the impact a little. My sister does'nt need a chestprotector, so why should you?

Hello everyone. My names Molly, I'm a good friend of Tim (neppo1345) and he's starting to get me into paintball. I've played once (and used his E-mag) with him and want to get more into it and he said this is the best place for me to learn and get my feet wet. If anyone has any pointers/suggestions for a new comer that would be great!

Either way, you should still come up for the 25th game. WV's only like, what, 6 hours away? Pssh! I once drove to the clear bottom of Indiana to play one day of rec. (about 10 hours away). C'mon! We'll have a huge... AO/MCB-OH/WV...? Whatever.

Turns out they had the same last name (but not related), and he now refers to her as his 'niece' whenever I go to play.

So she's never had to experience the 'rental mask'.

you should practice with borrowed equiptment first, get a feel for the game and if you like it you can buy your own set of equiptment later down the line..but first for a woman id recomend a chest protector, my ex gf didnt like the chest shots to much..

i would also recomend that. my girlfriend had a bruise on her breast for like 3 weeks. it looked like a hickielol
