I do have to agree that looks an awful lot like a zip tie.... maybe its incase the piece takes too big a hit going around a corner.... no wait... that's drifting... nm....

you know, most of the time you would usualy say the same thing, but theres a pic on the ebay site that shows the camera looking through the scope. the camera seems to be set back quite a ways, so it might work well with a mask for at least a spoting scope type thing.
