Philadelphia, DE, NJ & MD Paintball Fields

I've lived in Philly for awhile and primarily play at Pev's Paintball field (woodsball primarily) in Leesburg, Va. I know Skirmish is in my area but I can't get past the fees they charge on top of having to pay an exhorborent price for their field paint ($99 a case and $30 field fee). At Pev's, it costs me $18 for walk-on fees and I don't have to purchase field paint. I'm open to finding out about other fields in the Philly, DE, Southern NJ or MD area that has woodsball play, allows you to BYOP and has an abundant amount of fields to play on. Anyone know of such??

I live in Hagerstown MD, there is a few fields in my area. my home field is in liberty town just north of Frederick. they have a trenched hill field, a fort field, and a woods ball speed ball field as well as an open speed ball and two air ball fields. field fee is $10 and $10 for all day air. they sell paint in the $50 range but allow byop. I really like it because the refs are all volunteers, they ref because they love the sport not to make money or for discounts. the owner of the field is there like every weekend with his wife and daughter. the crowds aren't huge but we have seen something like 50 or so walkons in any given sunday. they tell me saturdays are busier but i just can't get there on those days. here is a link to their web site

also check warpig.com for fields closer to you.
there are also about five other fields within an hour of me including the two down in leesburg, va. but if you are just looking for a really fun walk on day with a good mix of experienced players and rookies, sportsland would be my suggestion.

There's a place in Ephrata PA in Lancaster County- shouldn't be too far from philly, can't remember prices off the top of my head, there's also Three Rivers Paintball in Freedom (?) Pa on the west side of Pittsburgh, actually there are quite a few around that area, also there is EMR in New Milford Pa they charge $15 walk-on and $80 a case, for Marbalizer which is actually really good paint. There are quite a few places in Pa that you can go if your willing to drive.

I didn't realize that field was just a paintball throw away. I looked at the website and it seems like a decent field. Being that I just got a call and my buddy canceled paintball in Va this weekend, I think I'm gonna head to that field on Sun. thanks for the FYI Big'n Slo

What is your drive time to taneytown? i can usually get to sportsland in about 30-45 min. anyway i mainly play woods ball and I think family rec is all speedball. plus i know the fields at sportsland so i know where the good spots are . we will have to do a little AO--days around here at some point.

yea that would be sweet , i havent seen many mags around -- a couple at pevs and a couple more at OA, hell i dont even have a mag anymore

but it is about a 45 min drive to taneytown, not bad -- only thing i dont like about there is the speedball feilds are almost always muddy
