    any white mags out there?

i was curious if anyone has spent the money on getting their mag powdercoated or annoed white? if so, lets see some nice white automags. thanks in advance

ps. if not, then can someone photoshop a nice karta mag or a ule emag/xmag and make them white, or maybe a white with some cool black or gray accents. that would be awesome

Look no further than the Dec. Mag of the Month thread

There is no such thing as white anodization. The closest you can get is clear. It looks "whiter" if you use flash when taking a picture of it.

You can powdercoat white, but anno is so much nicer. Powdercoat is just that, a coating. The thickness can throw off tolerances. With anodization, the color becomes part of the metal itself. It won't flake off like powdercoat or paint can. Anno can scratch, but that's the metal itself scratching.

actually, yes essentially it becomes part of the metal, but with each anno, a level of thickness is eroded off from the acid bath to get rid of previous anno. So annoing too many times can throw off thickness as well...

Alittle late in this thread and the anno discusion but did you know that scientists have developed a laser that can change the color of metal without effecting tolerances?
It could eliminate the need for anno people!

I think he's saying that because they are so hard to get (correct me if I'm wrong)

and that's cool about the laser thing ^

But does it give the aluminum a tougher surface like the ano process? Thats always been my major concern with powder coating.

It doesn't need to it changes the color on the atomic level so the whole thing is that color
