If I get good grades this quarter I get a reward for working hard. I have a MiniMag, but I like the look of the Invert Mini. Basicly what I am asking is, what would you rather have, a stock Invert Mini or a MiniMag with an X-valve? In case you are wondering I am flip-floppy between speedball and woodsball, and I have way to much freetime so whatever I choose will be kept spotless and in perfect working order (no dust, no dirt, no scratches, I like to fix every little problem there might be with my guns.) I play backman in speedball and constantly lay suppresive fire in woodsball, so speed is nice.
I have two choices

Only you benefit from good grades
You are the only person that benefits from your good grades.Originally posted by AZ_09I myself would go with the mag, really, in a year prices will drop. They always do, while mag prices dont really ever take a major fall.
Your lucky, i get nothing for getting straight A's for the past 3-4 years
Keep it up and you will be in the captains chair to choose your choice of universities.
Its to your benefit to keep good grades.
If you have family that loves you, thats worth more than any amount of money can buy.

I know i benefit from it, im in the 10th grade, and this year ive already gotten about 4-5 things from colleges, but random ones. From like St.Louis(im in ohio, and i dont see myself moving), and some other religous ones(which isnt really me), ive only really considered one of them though, BW.
Sorry for hijacking your thread.

Come to Case Western Reserve. You can hang out with me and Behemoth.
Mini all the way. Unless you're already stuck to AGD... it's best not to start an infatuation with a company that fades a little more every year. Only you can save yourself at this point. This thread is your subconsious reaching out in the realization that you love your minimag... but want to play with modern technology.
Neither Choice is bad if you make it for the right reason.

Because I am still relativly new to AGD I dont know what to do.... For all I know they will completly fade away and I will have invested my money on a gun which I wont even be able to buy parts kits for...... Decisions, Decisions.....

I got sick of waiting on my preorder, went to my local shop and bought a Mini.
It is hands down the winner. Unbelievably light and small, zero kick, QUIET, and it rips. I can shoot faster on this gun than any other gun I've ever shot, (don't even need any of the ramping modes). I put my velocity and 68 tank on it, and for me, its perfect. Snap shooting feels totally new, the gun is so small light and...snappy. Consistent(+/-3) ball on ball, runs on 190psi so you can shoot pretty deep into your tank. Simple, easy to maintain. And the case it comes with is awesome. I didn't think I would use the case, but its small enough to fit in the gear back, is well made and looks sexy, and holds all the tools it comes with.
The only thing that sucks is, unless you can find one in your local shop, you probably wont be able to pick one up for at least a month. But it's well worth it. Hopefully it holds up to the test of time and wear, which it should. And I'm sure very soon there will be loads of aftermarket parts for it. Mini FTW!

Iffy at best
Theres 17 auctions with a "Buy it Now" price on Ebay.Originally posted by geekwarriorThe only thing that sucks is, unless you can find one in your local shop, you probably wont be able to pick one up for at least a month. The ANS people in California have them at 399.00 free shipping.
The thing I dont like about them is the fact with the way its set up, there will be
little or no self customization/upgrades for it.
You cant do a drop forward or put a good adjustable reg tank on it.
You are pretty much stuck with it the way it is.
And what about wearability ? That is sure enough an unknown.
Anyone thats bought a few brand new cars knows you dont buy one in its first
year on the market. Many times they are full of problems and it takes several years
for them to work out all the bugs.
So I'm of the opinion that I'll wait and see on the Mini.
Too many iffy things about it.

I haven't seen toooooo much of the Mini yet, I've seen two that had slight problems and relatively easy fixes. Nevertheless I'd get the Mini over a MiniMag. Mini over an RT would be more of a contest, though. An Xvalve and Level10 with the minimag also might even up the balance.

alot of those buy it now's are preorders and it doesn't say its a preorder...trust me, i talked to a few of them. In fact one of them is going to give me a refund because of it.
There will be alot of customizable stuff soon, its new, it'll take a little while for the after market stuff to come out. I believe Manike said there will be a drop option in the future. And I'm hoping Nicad comes out with some bodies for it.
It's not like theres lots of new customizable stuff coming out for mags.
Someone has to be the first to buy something, else it would never get tested. Sure the mag is tried and true, but the company isn't doing anything exciting. If you don't want to be the first to try something, thats cool. I'm sure there will be some bugs to work out, Piranti on here discovered one or two, but nothing too major yet. There isnt a whole lot of them out there yet (maybe 300?) and they haven't withstood the test of time yet. Invert has been testing this marker for over a year though, and they are good with helping out with problems so far.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I think a lot of AO fans are a little resentful of this marker. I think this is were AGD could have been, or even better. The thread titled 07 Emag hits the nail on the head IMO. While this marker may (or may not) turn out to be as reliable or durable as a mag, it definitely is something people should consider.
