What are the current air systems out there that have an adjustable regulator output? I found somewhere here on the site the link for rapid fire and checked into the air systems listed on the site. It's probably old news to some but it looked like smartparts and air america went the way of fixed output regulators?? What if anything is currently out there that is adjustable up to at least 1200 psi and able to handle a 68/4500 tank? I already know AO states that input psi shouldn't exceed 1000 psi and their flatline reg system.

Centerflag even seemed like they had a fixed output regulator (4Ce is the new one) that is non-adjustable though I read about a 4 spring kit. Is there some reason adjustable has gone fixed? I would hate to put good money out there for something that isn't adjustable as once seemed to be the case nor am I an airsmith or know one who could potentially rebuild one purchased from the past. Hate the thought that my new 68/3000 crossfire with fixed 850 psi output is sufficient but I now want to go up to a 68/4500 tank with an adjustable reg output to config my tac one with to increase rof and shots per tank.Originally posted by 3DStevethe old style maxflo and the apocolypse are still readily available on the used market. and you can buy a rebuilt dynaflow from centerflag for a pretty good price

Nitro Duck makes the X-Stream, which is a screw-in adjustable regulator that can go from 0-900psi.

Personally I would not look at anything but an AGD Flatline, Centerflag Dynaflow, and Air America Adjustable.
The dynaflow is probably the lightest and seems to have the best recharge. Though I cannot say for certain about the Air America one. I currently still have my Dynaflow and will not get rid of it for anything (Just sold a Max Flow old style reg, too big and heavy). The dynaflow has the really nice thing of a bleeding on/off, which makes it superior to others in that regard alone, hated having to attempt to remove the maxflows with either a QD or Macro with pressure still in the lines, not a fun thing.

I too was interested by the X-stream, a couple years ago. It was cheap and looked like a decent adjustable tank. I went with it. A week later, it came, and I went to my local shop and got it filled(had to find a new local shop :P). Immediately it had problems. I couldn't get it up even to 800 psi. I was bummed. I had bought it for the same reason you are, for the reactivity.
Well, I soon returned it and requested a replacement. They sent it to me(had to pay shipping again...), and once again, I took it to my local shop. SAME PROBLEM. Except this time, the tank topped out at around 730 psi. That's not even enough to get good service from a mag. I gave up. After having spent $40 on unneeded shipping and close to two months, I returned it and gave the company hell for selling me two defective products.
I talked to Tunaman and he hooked me up with a Flatline. Never had a problem with pressure, incredibly easy to use, and the one time it was recharging slowly, he told me to send it to him, and he fixed it(cleaning) free. Excellent guy. I wasted about $80 on that nitro duck, if you include shipping and unneeded bottomline parts that I bought to go with it. I'll never go nitro duck, and advertise against them whenever it comes up. It's your money, but the tank is cheap for a reason.you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...
