Tell em about the ReTro valve.

I just purchased my first MAg on ebay tonight. It has a retro valve and I was wondering what is the difference between that and the x-valve is?

    For this marker
    My Mag

I'm planing on buying the ULE body, Level 10 bolt, ULE trigger, and a CP gas through foregrip.

My end setup will be that marker with listed upgrades, Halo B, and a HP PMI 68/4500.
Are there any other upgrades needed/recomended?

The tank, hopper, barrel, and body will be for sale on PBN, SCP, and here once I get the marker.

    I'd grab a different frame.
I had one of those DYE frames, and the trigger was absolute crud.

the retro valve and the x-valve are exactly the same except one is stainless steel and the other is aluminum, performance wise they are the same, the x-valve is just lighter

You're going to want to ditch the reg immediately.
Nice choice on grabbing a CP forgrip.

Not to hijack a thread or anything but what's the difference between an Retro Valve and an RT Pro valve?

Oh and to contribute to this tread It's not a bad score marker, tank and hopper. Triangle right you will want to ditch the second reg it make cause problems besides the reg on the RT is probably better anyway. Put in a nice gas thru. Hay guys not to alarm him but is that a CO2 top on the tank? look at the burst disk thing. Also if you think the dye trigger is bad my benchy is worse.

            selling from my ebay win.

            Reg
            Barrel
            Body
            Tank
            Hopper
            Drop

All I really wanted was the frame, valve, and a mag to shoot right now.

Though I think I want the valve to be modded for the ULE trigger.

I know i don't need the reg btw thats wy im getting the CP

BTW: This is my first mag. Anything I should know about mags in general?

Watch the training video that was uploaded to youtube yesterday. (Thanks, sdawg!)

Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

Obviously, they are looking at a different valve than you have, and some of the parts are different, but it is worth a watch.

Simple answer that should be documented:

X-Valve: will accept ult; dual o-rings; receives air through side; can be replaced by anything except the RT valve; made of aluminum.

E-Mag Valve: Same as X-Valve except: some may not take ult's; made of stainless steel

ReTro valve: Same as E-Mag valve except: some may not take ult's

RT valve: will not accept ult; single o-ring; receives air through banjo bolt; cannot be replaced with any other valve

*all could be drilled for dual o-rings to take a ult.

So if my retro has two orings then it can have the ULT.

                  (crosses fingers)
