How many high level teams did AGD sponsor one month before the SP lawsuit?

    How about three years before?

The point is, AGDs "decline" started long before the SP lawsuit.

        Yep.

When will people realize that as reliable as mags are, they're still an inefficent seartripper.

I'm not dissin' AGD, technology has advanced, AGD hasnt. They were advanced for their time, but they just kinda stopped....
What? You want to see the classic at 20bps?

TK did not move to leave customers from a year ago, two years ago, or five years ago without a way to keep there marker functioning. It is now inconvenient to keep a pre-Dye Matrix (or even a DM4), a 2k2 Shocker, an old style Timmy, etc. working properly. Not to mention it is obviously old, and the players on the field have been told how much better the new one is. The point is TK did not make "minor" improvements, if he released an upgrade it was a real upgrade. Add to it that (aside from the Classic RT) upgrades were backwards compatible and AGD was not one to say "you have to buy this new marker". Add to it marketting that generally stayed away from hype and consumers were just not encouraged to buy a new mag. A ever changing demographic that has settled into a hype driven one, and, if one is to judge without knowing, left TK in a market he was not comfortable doing whatever he had to do to sell.

Ok time for me to risk a post.

I've always held AGD in high regard in terms of quality and performance and I think it is sad that AGD has declined to what it now is.

I have only been an Automag owner (an X-Mag tee hee) for a few weeks now and one of the best things I've noticed about being one is the "brotherhood" from other Automag owners to help you out, this is something that none of the other brands can offer.

As to AGD's demise I can't see it coming any time soon, Fat Bob's have been trumpeting their new dealership with AGD and this thankfully brings the Automag back to British and European shores. Also Fat Bob's have designed the "2007 Euro Mag" and from what I can tell they are selling like hot cakes with novelty of being fast and not having a electronics board, a concept most brit ballers have trouble with.

Recently a fair few of my friends (yes I do have them) have been asking me about starting a team and what markers to get etc. Well I told them about the Automag range and they were awestruck. The fact that almost everything from the AGD line can be used in almost any mag is a real bonus for a tight budget as you can start low say a Pro Classic and upgrade it to (and I hate the term) proffessional tournament level.

As long as there are still people like us that suggest alternatives to the hype ridden yearly releases by such companies as Dye, Smart Parts and Planet with only minor improvements I can see Mags lasting for a good few years longer. Mags are timeless.

I don't know about anything in the works currently. The warp tac body was the latest thing out and not so long ago. That is a pretty new item.

What makes anyone think AGD isnt doing well? By whose standards do we define "Doing well"?

If a small company has say 5 employees, minimal overhead, and makes in the range of $70k-$100k a month, would that be "Doing well"?

Granted, sed company wouldnt be offering stock options anytime soon... but it would be making a profit right?

So who here can tell me what AGD's numbers look like? ANYONE?

                        Didnt think so.

Thanks captain obvious I'm well aware of the X-mag.

That and I don't think the X-mag is a "boardless" gun.

                          Read a bit first eh?

my track record... What track record. Look I'm not DM and I don't ask questions very often and being here for almost a year hardly makes me a "new member".

Why don't you try actually helping before you start sterotyping people.
