Tank hydro testing?

What are some good options on getting tanks hydro tested (ie - 68/3K tank)? and by that I mean some good inexpensive places to get them tested. No disrespect meant to the local pb stores, but I don't really want to pay $35 a tank to get them tested.

Dive shops? Air/gas supply companies?

35.00 a tank is not that bad if it includes shipping to the Hydro guy. It is about 10 bucks on the high side but i am sure you want to support your local store right?

I would say that was a pretty good price, so long as the tester is reputable...ie. not getting your reg back scratched up, all working, nice looking renewed hydro date,etc.

Had them do mine.

It was back within a week of sending it out.

Probably a little longer if you live further away.

All together it came to 30.00 (25.00 for testing and return, and about 9 for my shipping it there)

If you have a local fire protection company around, which im sure you do..they probably can do it as well...they have to do the same process for fire exstinguishers...so look for one that fills extinguishers (sp?) they should do it..thats were im about to get mine done..but for free..helps to have a step-dad in the business.

my local fire safty place does hydro's for 17.50 if i take the reg out 22.50 if they take it out
