SP wouldn't own another company, they're more in the business of shutting down companies.

My local field back home is the same. It's so stupid, they eat, breath, and sleep NPL and whenever you mention National they flip out on you. Then again, they are SP/DYE fanbois. But they won't even do a special order from NPS.

My understanding is National changed there policies in regards to offer stores credit, some of them that were long standing customers. PMI offered a lot of established stores fair, and easy credit terms and the NPS / PMI merger is going to have an affect.

That being said, you cannot blame NPS for its moves, but you can also see where people get upset when long standing practices are changed.

Disclaimer: all hearsay (sp) from a good friend who would be considered a good source on this - some speculation added for good measure.

                        Just FYI,

K2 owns Brass Eagle, Viewloader, WGP, and JT.

NPS owns Empire, Invert, Draxxus, PMI, and many more.

They wont deal with national because national jerked them around. He didn't go into detail, but theyve had some serious issues and they just dont buy from them .

You local field is definately not alone. I am wondering where the merger is going to take them. PMI has also had customer service issues in the past, but we have found them to be 'slightly' more forthcomming than NPS. There are other wholesellers on the planet, and many of them are hungry for business. Shop around & find the vendor that works best for your specific situation. Buy direct whenever possible, but almost any field will still need to work through a wholeseller for certain items.
