AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Yup, it's pretty old. It would put spin on the ball via an adjustable knob on the top of the body. It's that knurled knob in the pictures. It needed a large bore barrel to work properly. .696 at least. Lapco made an A/C threaded, .696 version of the Bigshot called the "Z-Barrel" to go with the body. The body just didn't sell very well though. The flatline / backspin effect was finnicky and not consistant.
I had one for a while, but didn't really like the backspin on it either, it wasn't consistent like a flatline barrel was and I was using the barrel made for it too.
I have one on my zgrip that looks identical to that one (flat black), if you ask me they are pretty nice looking bodies, although I have never used the backspin and never plan on it either.
I just scored one in really nice shape except . . . it is missing the Galactic screw (Z screw?). Any info on what to replace it with? I don't expect it to be as accurate as a Flatline, but I have a specific use for the greater range.

If i did have a z-body i would just try it for the heck of it after i chrono, but i would never use it in an actual game.
Il n'y a point de sots si incommodes que ceux qui ont de l'esprit.
level 10 wouldn't fit in mine....
the accuracy is finnicky for sure. Every now and then the balls seem to break right or left.
but if you turn down the velocity to 275ish it helps alot.
