This thing needs to be reviewed, tested, and put through hell. I'd like more info on the product. Sounds great.
I was reading the "install it yourself" instructions and it seems pretty straight foward. Technically it fires closed bolt, but it says on the web site it closes the bolt when you pull the trigger and fires 30 milliseconds later. I guess that's not much different from the "precoil" you get when shooting a standard cocker.

I've seen the Centerflag Electro kit on a stock 2k2 and that thing rips. It looked like the only thing it was doing was activating the 3 way and the gun would cycle. It had a short 2mm trigger pull. Although it was neat I still think it's over priced.

The racegun grip looks pretty cool too. I saw it down at Mardi Gras and it looked sweet. It's programmable. Stores game info. And can be timed using a home PC or Palm Pilot.

My personal opinion is, if you want an elecrto, get one. If you want a cocker, get one.

Sorry but bolting an electro kit, onto a semi, that started out as a pump just doesn't seem right to me.

There are alot of electros that you could buy with that 900, and I'd bet that most of them would shoot better.

Or if you want a cocker, you can buy a pretty good cocker with 900, or build your own.

Maybe it's just me, but when I buy a cocker it is because of the things that make it a cocker, sliding triggers, the "clack" of the back block, without those things, and with an electronic trigger it might as well be an excal.

But what it comes down to is what you want, if you like the set up, it's your money, spend it as you feel fit.

FYI -- I priced the next cocker I'm going to build, and the total damage was around 1800, thats with a sliding trigger, 4 J+J ceramics, and a max-flow, just the marker is around 1100.

How fast is the Cocker with the Racegun grip? This Firestorm has a speed of 12-14bps. Is the Racegun faster?

They claim about the same...13+. Here's their website.

They have a few movies of the grip in action.

auto cockers have a limit of 10 bps...no matter what they claim. If you go faster than that they chop...period.

well even if cockers can only shoot 10bps(which I totaly do not beleive, I think they are able to do at least 14), this is not just an electro grip, Putting on this takes away the autocockingness(hehe I made a new word) and turns it into somthing different. You guys are telling me that if I want an electro get one, if I want a cocker get one. I can't find an electro out there that I would like to have, nor an Autococker. And the only reason that this is costing $900 is because of the loader, drop, and barrel, without them the price would be significantly lower, If I were to buy a Gen X I would also need to get those things and it would come out to about the same price. Thanks for your suggestions and another thing on those other electro grip upgrade, which one of those also comes with almost all internals, and even externals, for under $400, and it will get installed free? hmm? none well thanks hehehe. If I am wrong please tell me.

                          that is not true

if you have the gun timed right, for ball suck, the paintball is in the chamber almost instantly after the bolt is back. so it really becomes an issue of how fast you can cycle the bolt. i know that sandridge cockers can shoot about 16 balls a second.
As society and the problems that face it become more and more complex and machines become more and more intelligent, people will let machines make more of their decisions for them, simply because machine-made decisions will bring better results than man-made ones. Eventually a stage may be reached at which the decisions necessary to keep the system running will be so complex that human beings will be incapable of making them intelligently. At that stage the machines will be in effective control. People won't be able to just turn the machines off, because they will be so dependent on them that turning them off would amount to suicide

sometimes I just freaking hate people. which means the next day I will love them for the sake of balance, but right now I will just concentrate on the hating. Hate hate hate. Blaaaarg! ;)

The case can be made that the Firestorm conversion isn't even close to an Autococker.

Loads from an open bolt (at least the 400 dollar kit does/a closed bolt is "on the way"). Sure it Fires from a closed bolt but then again so does a Spyder.

The bolt is two piece so it moves - not the back bolt. Seems more like a Shocker to me than an Autococker.

Plus that grip frame is ugly - not as bad as the IR3's but still bad.

They had them at MGO and while nifty It's not really a Cocker conversion it's a whole new gun in a Cocker body. (Plus WAYYY too easy to get to bounce)

Look Raven-Piantball is right. Cockers can not go over 10 bps even with a wapr or whatever. The fastest they can go with a high pressure set-up is around 12. When at 12 they will get shootdown or just not fire. With all those parts moving it cannot keep up with an electro trigger. Watch the IAO on pigtv it proves that with the uprising.

Infinity- Why waste your money on something like that. Plus you are missing alot of peices on that gun. Like a hammer, back block, rod arms, springs and a few other small things. Either go straight out and buy a used F-5 if you want electro or stay with your cocker. If you love cocker triggers and the concept of a cocker then y would you go with a electro cocker. Electro cockers are pretty much an Excalibur. If you want electro go with an Excal or used angel.

I see absolutely no reason to spend that much on an electro cocker just to have an electro gun. IMO!!!
