I have around 400 bucks for a new marker. I guess I am going to try the electro road. I have 3 mags,an a-5,a cocker, and a couple of spyders already. I was thinking of the Fusion,Promaster, or maybe a used Shocker. Does anyone have any experience with any of these markers? I will not be upgrading so the best out of the box is what I am looking for with decent reliability. Any other markers worth checking out?? Just don't mention the mini it is just too small for me.
$400 on what?

fusion by far, promasters are eh IMO, I know only two people around with them and one didn;t work out of the box, the other we never even figured out what was wrong. Used shocker can be hit or miss, sometimes they're awesome sometimes they are realllyyyy bad.
Check out the PMR too, or a used Dm4 both are in that range and will shoot real nice, same with timmy's.

heh, yeah, my money's on the fusion or dm4. You can get really really good deals on used dm4's these days.you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

Im in agreement - if you are money crunched go new. Fusion, PMR (my choice), Invert (my second choice), and probably a few other markers can be had at or near that price new.
Personally I think the PMR wins just for support, you know Dye is going to be here next year and into the future. Not that Invert is not, but they are trying to sort out issues now."Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not" - Dr Suess

Promaster's are hit or miss as well, from what I've heard, some people get them and they don't work, I got two and both work just fine for me so far. But as I've said before if you do get one, you'll want to change the reg as they aren't exactly the best....at least I don't like them. All I changed on my promasters was reg, barrel, and as it doesn't come stock, an On/Off - ASA.(check-it unimountx2) but they have worked pretty well thus far for me.
I use them mostly for loners or Tourney's and when they do get used they are easy enought to clean, pull and wipe down the bolt/housing, remove eye covers and clean there.(Q-tips work great) reassemble and shoot.I have yet to touch the lower tube of either of these, and have no problems with either.

Nerves dropped in price big time. Those that are still available new are around 425.00 I think. 350 isn't bad. That's about the value my son got out of a trade for one. He loves the marker and I have to confess it is nice. He needs to get an aftermarket board so he can limit the BPS though. We're going to blanding and he'll have to use my phantom or Emag.Originally posted by Killer VIjust had a guy offer a Nerve? I have held one a few years ago but 1000 was way too much.. 350 shipped w/ a freak kit a good buy?
