    E-grip

I got a spyder e-grip for my spyder, and later on for my mag. I just wanted to know, how far is the little pin thing in the front of the thing I circled supposed to go? I finally got my grip working (something wasnt plugged in all the way), But I dont think it will fire my gun because it isnt pushing the little spring loaded knob thing forward. If it is broken, can I get a replacement?

Edit: By the way, I think the thing I circled is called a solenoid.

    Yep, it's called a solenoid.

When you pull the trigger, do you hear a clicking sound come from the solenoid? If you do, that means the solenoid works. if you don't, that means that you either have a wire loose or you need a new solenoid.

A long time ago when I broke a similar solenoid, I only found two sources. One was in taiwan, and the other charged $40 for the solenoid.

solenoidcity.com sells similar solenoids. They aren't identical, but you should be able to find a suitable replacement.

Do you have a ULT installed on your valve?

He's using it on a spyder. Here's what you may want to try. Put a dime behind the disc part on the solenoid. If that doesn't work use a nickel instead. If that doesn't work, quarter.

Or, if you get tired of doing that, drill and tap a hole for a setscrew.

I tried the coin thing, It worked, as in my solenoid fired, but I pulled the trigger once and it didnt catch so it dry fired, on F/A until the tank was dry(even though I let go of the trigger), and burned through a 9oz tank in around 4 seconds.......
