A few questions about the Sydarms

Just ordered one BNIB from a little place in Charleston, South Carolina that has a few and I was wondering if you guys have had the opportunity to shoot one of them.

If so where there any upgrades needed? I purchased a constant air adapter for it and I know its a twist-lock barrel (I don't believe there are any after market that will fit it) But I wasn't sure if there where any upgrades needed. I know the ULE trigger kit will fit but its not really needed for a pistol IMHO.

    Any information would be great!

P.S. I am in search for one of docs twist lock adapters.

I also happen to have a slightly used one in the box that I haven't even tried yet.

So guys, post up any info on Sydarms.

    Thanks.

They are great. I feel they are the most fun pistol to use out there. The only extra I have for mine is a pair of smart parts wood grips. In fact the only thing I would consider as a necessary upgrade on for myself would be a second sydarm with a pair of left hand grips.

I have two of the old ones. A nice set of grip panels are all that is needed.

Yes, a lot of people aren't aware that the old Smart Parts wraparound wood grips for the stock trigger frame came in both right and left hand versions. Being a lefty I have a pair from the old days and they're extremely comfortable.

I had a sydarm, and my other twist lock barrels fit it.

I have to agree, the only "mod" you really need for a sydarm is a set of wood grips, I'm actually putting a different frame on mine (32* 45 frame) just cuz its a chrome frame on a chrome sydarm, with prima vera grips from kruger. all I need to do w/ the frame is shave off the "wings" so it'll fit. I did have two syadarms but I sold one to a buddy of mine who has since not touched it.

I think one of the ways i plan on using it is...

Vert 3.5 as a for grip
Doc adapter with a 12" WWA freak barrel
                            t-stock

                            I like that.

I will prolly use that for big games

I think all centerfeed twistlock barrels will fit.
                              My feedback

Made in USA - it matters.
