I took my Mini to the field today, it is a truly nice marker.
The first thing you notice when you get it, is they played the packaging point for all it was worth, its own good case, nice foam, a reasonable tool / spare part set.
The interface takes some time to get used to, you need to hold the button a couple seconds to get it to work - once you are used to this, and waiting for the light to change color, using it becomes much easier. It took me a long time to figure this out, I'm not 100% thrilled with the interface system. Switching settings, you have to be quick on the buttons to do. The HES sensor is very easy to adjust activation point, forward and back travel. NPS has not gotten back with me on how to adjust magnetic resistance.
The manual leaves something to be desired, I don't think for instance it ever addresses turning the eyes off should you want to.
That being said I got it to the field today. At first I was given the "new" paint to try out. I souped this stuff heavily. Keep in mind that it was ultra-fragile paint, dropped from waist height onto the floor it broke, and it was under 10 degrees outside, probably around 40 in the arena area. I was also the only one trying it, the theory being if it works for me it will work for everyone cause I can screw most anything up. I was also using a borrowed Empire as there were no Pulses in the store and my g/f had confiscated my other one to use on the PMR.
A note here, the mini is VERY easy to disassemble and clean, we're talking mag easy. I've heard all the reasons this "is not a mag". Take it apart and lay it on the table, everyone who had ever had a mag commented this was a mag.
With good paint I was very impressed with the mini. It is consistant, easy to shoot, and does not feel at all fragile in ones hands. I played all day with it, through a case of paint, with no problems. Even when I was chopping paint the eyes functioned well. Some fault the eye logic on these, and it is simple, if covered the eyes should default to shooting. Even with paint broken heavily in the marker the eyes still registered each other though.
Overall it is a great shooting marker. I would compare it favorably to any marker I have shot except for the board. I am used to smooth ramping of the Shockers and Tadao, and there is little doubt I will put a Tadao board in when available.

, course I already knew since D4m4don4 and I spent a good amount of time in the Invert booth at OC NPPL
so we were pretty familiar with the marker before it was even available for sale
