Not too shabby, my 1st mag.

So i just took some pictures of the finished product (or, decently finished). My first mag. I went from not playing paintball, to deciding to play again, to having this put together...from scratch....in about 3 1/2 weeks or so.
    Total cost?
    Mag classic(used)-100
    new body,powerfeed right(used)-35
    warp feed w/ revy (used)-75
    JJ ceramic 14" barrel (new)-30
LV 10 bolt (used)-free (traded to buddy for a minimag body, which was used)
    Intelleframe(used)-80
    Shocktech grip(new)-25
PsychoBallistics adj. drop forward(new)-25--(note:this thing rules)
68/3000 fiber wrapped tank, in hydro to 09(used)-90.00
    JT tank cover(new)-15

So. Total cost for my Mag is $475.00
Now, im sure most of you will say "Oh..jeez man, for that cost you could have gotten ____ gun or you should have done ____" and thats probably true. But when i was playing paintball seriously many years ago, the only gun i ever wanted was a mag. and now i have one. And, its set up just the way i want it. Add to that the fact that ive learned so much in the process, and generally have fallen in love with mags all over again, I'd say its not 1/2 bad for 475.00.

Anyway, im just really happy that its all come together, and i cant wait to shoot it.

    not bad at all!

and since your sticking with twistlock, keep an eye on xtreme paintball and pbgear and the sorts... they usually close out very nice twistlock barrels for less then 10$

How's the thumb velocity treating you? I could never get mine to go above about 270 without the regular screw.

Well Buzz to be honest...i dont know. LOL!

I havent aired it up yet. But im hoping to be able to do that this weekend. I have a feeling there may be some bugs to work out, but i JUST put the tank on last night, along with the rop forward. But, i'll let you know.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Im really proud of it. Im anxious to fire it and see how i like the warpfeed.

Interesting way you routed that warp feed. I like that.

I know how you feel. I dumped about the same ammount you did into mine and im finally happy with it. I realized i couldn't get just what i wanted without building it myself. The odds of finding the same thing were a million to one. But i already had a tank so. I love warp feeds and ive resolved to never shoot another gun unless its a warped mag. Its a bit heavy and my arms do get a little tired after a full days play, but i think it's worth it... I hope you like yours. I just got my intellifeed set up and im getting the bugs worked out.

But for $475 you could've gotten a sup'd up n tricked out IONzors!

But seriously, for what you put on there, that's not a bad price. Not a bad price at all. $475 for a perfectly tuned and set up 'Mag complete with N2, Warp-Feed, and Revvie. I'd say that's a good deal.

If I may make a suggestion, though. Since you're using a Classic valve, you may want to pick up an RT on/off and swap it in there. It'll lighten up the trigger pull by almost half without causing any short stroking problems. It won't help you shoot much faster, but it'll make the trigger pull ahelluva lot smoother and easier. Just an idea. But if you like it just the way it is, then feel free to ignore this!

Either way, that's a sweet 'Mag.

                            Hmm. I may try that.

One thing at a time for now though.
