i have a hammerhead and love it but i use it on my 98 custom.i have been thinking the only thing i dont like is the "fins" (boresizes) are small in length. it got me thinking "wouldn't it be more accurate if the ball went through a tighter hole for a longer time?" so i stumbled upon the powerlyte scepter system. i have read only good things about it. i dont want to hear about the rifling not working because it is very accurate. now i am stuck between buying all new fins or a powerlyte scepter system? the prices will be similiar so i am asking your opinions. thanks.
Hammer head vs. Powerlyte scepter

After reading the Tech info that for a mag the best length is 8-10 inches before porting and no longer than 12 inches maximum, I went through just about every barrel system before I found the one I got. The Scepter was a pretty close runner up, but in my opinion, I'd say go with a Lapco Snapshot.

You can still find older models, and actually PowerLyte told me they will be selling older pieces to thier kits. I have one and it shoots very will. I like it much better then the freak system I had. Used Scepters are fairly easy to find. I have a few inserts available if you find an incomplete kit.

bryceeden thanks for the empire revolver thing but i think y buy a knock off when u can buy the original fr cheaper.
minimag y do u say dont get a hammerhead? i love mine. the only thing i dont like is the fins are expensive.
i have been looking into redz pepperstikz but their a little over my price range.
also on another forum someone had told me they saw a study that shorter bores work better than longer ones. anyone else hear of this or is he just pulling it out of his ***. i could kind of see how they would work better but i dont know.
thanks for the replies and keep them coming. and i love automag owners (me being one myself) u guys have posted more rplies than any other forum iive asked on.
