its a pump, the ROF wont be that high... so with the reg it might be just fine.

co2 will work fine in any 'mag valve just not at high rates of fire.
the stab is what's killing your 12g efficiancy - though the mag isn't the most efficient thing out there anyway. you should be getting at least 20 or so without the stab on there.

cool gun - I especially like the tac but would have gone with a different stock.

I almost have to disagree with you on that one. Or maybe it's all valve design ...

I have a Palmer Stab on my Phantom and I'm still getting 30+ shots with a 12 gram.

Mags are not that efficient. It's the design, not the Stab that's eatting the gas.

Most of the Phantoms I know around here (quite a few) sit in the 40 range give or take a few. Then again I live in Florida. Put a stab on an already well-tuned system (like a phantom or even a sheridan-based gun) and you'll see efficiency drop. It's all in the extra expansion space.

I promise you, the key to 12g efficiency is eliminating as much expansion area as possible and then tuning from there. Yes, the mag valve design is inefficient already but the stab definitely puts a damper on things. Expect at least 5+ more GOOD shots if you yank it off of there.

I play pump pretty much exclusively and have seen a good number of different valvetrains tuned for good 12g efficiency. Not least of which is my teammate Fireblade's x-valved p-mag. I believe he gets 40's out of it, but ask him (doubt you'll be getting many details on how to do it, though!).

But after all we ARE talking about 12g's here, and 5 or 10 shots may not seem like much but it's a lot for a 12g.

Serious? I was under the impression that it was one of the most efficient valves out there!

O can play a whole day on 1 68/4500 with a grand to spare! And I shoot a lot of paint

Yeah you might get more shots out of a 12 gram with a phantom down there. Up here before the Stab I was getting on average 35 shots at 280 fps. After I put the stab on I now get an average of 33 shots at 280 fps.

Granted I more or less put mine on so I don't have to deal with the rod you have to use to adjust the velocity. I'm constantly going between outdoor and indoor fields. So being able to adjust my velocity with a standard allen is worth the loss of a shot or two in my book.

And why keep 12 gram with X-Valve a secret?!?!?! That's just plan selfish!!

He made the dump chamber smaller and put a diffrent spring in the reg to make the pressure higher.

Kills the ROF but your using a pump anyhow.
