Best wishes. And thanks for fighting the good fight, trying to make paintball more about the game and less about the rubbish that tries to sneak into the game. Wish we had more like you!

Man this hurts. I remember meeting Sam & Jim in Portland I belive in 1992/93. It was our teams first big event. I was pretty much in a state of shock at all the teams that were there Dogs of war , AA, Iron men & the list went one. I was standing there looking at the score board ( things were not going well) when Sam came up & asked how it was going. I had no Idea who he was at that moment. I grumbled about thinking that we had bit off more than we could chew. We talked for a few minutes & he mentioned that he had seen me pull off a very good bunker move in our last game & to never give up. He said to be the best you have to play against the best. I realized at the end of the event that he was Jims partener & seemed that he actually ran the show in process always having every detail coverd. Remember what you told me. Never give up. Best wishes.:hail: AGD :hail: CCI :hail:Comment

Sam, my prayers are with you. If you're anything like TK you must be a good guy. Thanks for helping to set the building blocks for what we now have today. Tom posted a thread letting me realize how ignorant I can be. I once again would like to send you my deepest condolences and thank you for what you've done for paintball.

I remember seeing your name in a few spots when i first started playing ... but it was usually accompanied with an email address for promotions with the ACE circuit and WFP...
You did lots behind the scenes that helped the sport grow to where it is today.
That, if you truly loved doing it, is a life accomplishment.
Paintball wouldn't be nearly as mainstream without you. And we'd probably still be playing 10 man tournies in the woods instead in stadiums under lights if you wern't involved early on.
thanks
rock on

I never saw this until it was pointed out by Tom, so I must apologize for the overlooking.
Even though I never personally met Sam, I know of his reputation and the advancements he made for our sport. The fact that he has to go through this at such a comparatively young age is horrible. I wish the best of luck in dealing with this and I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and my prayers.Comment

Sam i don't even know you, nor have I ever heard of you, and I already wish there were more people like you in our industry. people who actually care about the sport and the players. I can't relate to the trials you're being put through, but I do know that while the devil poisons the body, God heals the soul. My best wishes to you Mr Caldwell, you're in my prayers.Comment

Sam,
Although I'm a little young to have known you or the changes you wrought... you should take pride in knowing that you yourself were able to make an impact on many people lives in this sport, and will affect the many players to come in the future of the sport.
A great feat by anyone's measure. Thank you and God bless.
