AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Help me out guys which do you think is the better hopper. I play mostly front and I have a emag. The choices are a Viewloader Vlocity or Empire B2.
Thanks
Only hopper I have ever seen faster than a pulse was a VLocity. The B2 did appear to be slower on a drop test and on gun. Plus BB eyes are much better than sound in my book.
Personally, I think that the speed difference is really kinda worthless. They all feed faster than your gun can shoot (legally), so that argument is moot. Personally, I really like the sliding out tray on my pulse, and how it doesn't put pressure on the stack all the time. I'd vote pulse, but you apparently don't want that...
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...
:shooting: :cuss:
^^^ No way. Ever had paint in the eyes or a color that the eyes cant read?
The B2 is a great hopper. I would go with it.
Actually, no. I've never run into any problems at all with my VLocity that I've had since they were released. VLocitys are much, much lighter and hold more paint than halos/reloaders. It's personal preference, try both and see which you like best.
Go to your local field and put them both on your gun..personally all of the new hoppers obscure my line of sight because of how wide the backs of the hoppers are. I can make due, but I'd much rather use a halo or empire....though I use a halo seeing how you don't have to worry about the microphone not picking up the sound of your gun. I had problems with that when I had an empire on my proto..so Halo it is for me.
Personally I would go for the best hopper ever made. The Revy Yeah, I said it.
i miss my revvy, you could drop bricks on it and it wouldn't let you down ...mine took a beating i don't think all the new hoppers out today could deal.
as for the hoppers, the vlocity's are lighter by a little bit and yes have a big *** end. Pretty sure i'm picking up a reloader B or vlocity very soon ...i don't like my egg anymore.
It's all give and take. VLocity is lighter, takes 9V batteries, holds more paint. Its eyes are also behind clear plastic, and they don't fall out or get dirty like a Halo's tend to.. But it's also slightly larger, goes through batteries even faster than a Halo, and makes an irritating buzzing sound nearly constantly.
The Halo looks cooler, and is a little smaller, and goes through batteries a *bit* slower. The sound activated Reloader Bs are nice too. But they seem to have more durability problems in my experience, and they're significantly heavier and slightly slower.
It's all preference. I wish I could combine the two.

I have a Vlocity and i used it for the first time last week. i was wondering about that buzzing noise...so i guess thats normal?
Other then that constant noise i really like it.
That buzzing sound is because you have the motor set to a high enough level that it continusouly is adding pressure to the stack. Below about 4 you don't see this but above it only gets worse with a higher hopper level.
