    i'm screwed!

ok, two questions. number one, does anybody know the size of the screws that attatch the annoying metal pieces to the RT Pro rail? I would like to fill them with something other than the allen screws that came with it.

second, is there a "reverse tap"? meaning instead of tapping something so that it can be "screwed into" can i tap a small metal rod so that it can screw into other things?

in other words i want to create the mail part of a screw, not the female part.

      Ace Hardware

Ace Hardware has the right diameter pan head screws to attach the foregrip and sight rail to an RT Pro rail. They are just a hair to long in length though.

You mean "die" as in tap and die... If you get a dye instead it'll be laser engraved and cost 200% of the other one.

If you are just looking to fill the holes left from removing the sight and foregrip mounts on an RT rail you can use 8/32 set screws (they have an allen head). I forget the length but I'm sure 1/8" 8/32 set screws will do the trick.

Hardware stores will likely have them. G/L!

It's not 8/32" (that would be 1/4" ), the thread size you are after is #8-32.

Ask for "Number eight thirty two" set screws if you don't want a head showing, or pan/button head cap screws if you want what it came with, or socket head cap screws if you want a flat topped cylindrical head.
