Small hose things on Autococker's Pnuematics

What are they called, and how do I remove the hoses, can I use a lubricant? I have a couple on my Squall which aren't coming off, and I don't want to force them. Thanks Post a how to link if you know of one.

They're called barbs.
Im sure theres a proper way to take them off... I usually just tug at them pretty hard and if that doesnt work I break out the exacto knife.

Those barbs are where the hoses connect to. I believe what he's talking about is pneumatic hosing.

Right, but his original question was what the 'small hose things' were... I think... unless I misunderstood his post.

Oh and I'm not pneumagger btw.. haha. I have made a pneumag but I'm not 'the guy that makes them'

I usually just cut em. It's a pain but its the only way I've figured out to do it. Watch your fingers

If your talking about an older cocker the things that slip over the hose barbs are called "HATS". They look like top hats and are removed by lifting them up, then the hoses will lift off..

WGP has intellectual properties on the Cocker pneumatics that dates back before Smart Parts was arround. Would be hard to sue for patent infringement when the product was arround a lot longer than you were.

You can pull them but if that doesn't work, get some flat sided needle nose pliers and use those to push the hoses off from underneath. Don't squease them though, you can crush the barb.
