no if you ask me unles you dont plan on sliding or crawling ever.

unles your reffering to slider shorts(which help alot on lower body stress) the shorts are generaly an apparel item meant to be worn casualy.

I got them and I feal a whole lot safer with them. Have a cup built in, the first time i went my friend got shot in that special special spot and he was out of it for the rest of the day. I think they are well worth it.

Paintball shorts are cool... as long as you dont play paintball in them. A friend of mine played with a pair of dye shorts oneday...

Between the welts and the rash from sliding it wasnt good.

I dont suggest them to play in AT ALL.

I dont even consider playing without having either baggy cammo or dye pants with another pair of shorts on underneath and knee pads.

Otherwise I am in a world of pain after a day of playing.
Now I only get sore from sprinting. Not slides and hits.

I payed under $20 for a pair of "softball" sliders. Work fine, they just don't say Dye on them anywhere.

Oh. Thats what you mean. YES those are worth it. I have the dye ones

eh, you dont need em... spend the money on paint.

back when mags came out they didnt have slider shorts, so they arent necessary.
