I cannot get the chat to work for me.

I am behind a firewall. That is the problem probably. Mirc60 does not work either. It keeps saying that I am not welcome on this network and retries to connect. What should I do. I think it is hopeless unless you guys have a better way.

i am behind a router and then the winxp firewall. the only way ive been able to get it to work is by trying to connect to the chat through trillian (http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/index.html). it still takes a LONG time, at least 3-4 minutes of sitting there with the various connection attemps going, but i eventually get through.

OK what you all are running into is the wonderfull DalNet requirment to have an Ident server running. Firewall & routers typically are set to not forward or pass anthing on that port, thats where you run into problems.

Get a complete server list and then just keep trying the US & Canadian servers until it allow you to connect. I have a firewall at home and I block the port, It just takes a few server tries to get around the Ident requirment.

              RobAGD...

Can you say what port the server is using? Alot of firewalls can be set to allow or forward certain ports or ranges of ports. If you could say which port the servers are trying to use, that might help these guys.
